#0, Deleting a Post?
Posted by JeanneHedge on Feb-23-14 at 03:43 PM
Yesterday I made a post, then realized I should have made that post elsewhere. When I tried to delete it, I couldn't figure out how to do it - I couldn't find a delete post button. I wiped the content and asked for someone to delete it for me, which was done (thanks, whichever (I suspect) moderator you are)

Is it possible to delete your own posts here, and if so, how do you do it?

Doesn't look like it. For administrative users there's a "Remove" link at the lower left corner (of the whole topic, and of each individual post's table box once the topic reaches enough replies to switch to threaded mode), but I just checked with the test account, and it doesn't look like non-admins get that even on their own posts.

(Which is probably just as well. A couple of times now I've accidentally schletzed threads by hitting the "Remove" link owing to touchscreen weirdness on my Droid phones when I was trying to do something else; there's no confirmation and no backsies.)

That is living dangerously.

OK, thanks for the info.
