Given STO's wavering popularity this seems like an excellent idea.

I don't hate STO? But FFXIV Heavensward dropped and it has sucked me in. I have no time for phasers when I run dungeons thinking, 'What buffs will I get to dole out today?'

Similarly, the double-whammy of Resistance dropping in MWO and 12x Class XP in SW:TOR has pretty much dominated my gaming time.

If you're ever on Ebon Hawk, give me a ring. :) I've got a pretty good gamut of Imps and Pubside toons.

I think I'm on Jedi Covenant just because that's where a couple of my fellow STO escapees went. Will bear that in mind though! I kind of wish they'd merge everything because having everyone on a single server in STO was great, but what can you do.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-27-15 AT 11:08 PM (EDT)

Personally I've sunk the last year and a half into a free-to-play called Warframe. You take the basic play style of Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer, throw in over a dozen mission types, randomly generated maps using over 20 tile sets, 24 different characters (and 10 deluxe "Prime" versions with slightly improved stats), over 200 weapons, over 500 mods to collect to customize your loadout, and then add in an amped up version of Mirror's Edge's free running. There's even outer space missions using flight packs called Archwings. It's still technically in Open Beta even after two years because the Dev team is constantly updating and tweaking the game and adding in new content. It's completely free-to-play, the only thing that can't be earned in game is cosmetic items, and even then you can farm for rare items and trade them to other players for the premium currency.

"wavering"? "rip STO"?

It's hardly dead yet. I log in and play pretty much every day, and am part of an active RP fleet (the Zenas Expeditionary Force).

>(the Zenas Expeditionary Force).

Please tell me that's Zenas as in "Zenas died of the chestnut blight in '66!"

Is it wavering? As far as I can tell the guild I associate with's STO division is doing fine.

Me, I'm more of an Eve Online kinda guy.

at any rate, I have to agree, not so much because we dont talk about STO as much as just having a single gaming board for all mmo's just feels right to me

#12, I say go for it.

My circle of friends tend to rotate through three MMOs (STO, SWTOR and Secret World) these days, so branching out to cover other games wouldn't hurt.

But my wife does :)

I've been sucked down the rabbit hole of WOT (World of Tanks) thanks to The Mighty Jingles who Gryph has also mentioned.

Being a casual player of FFXIV, I'd say a general MMO board would be nice. Just my tuppence.
