3. "The Other Side" (UF/FI) - Ghostbusters. in UF. Fantastic!

It's not the first time we've seen them -- a franchise branch in New Avalon once interfered with a date between Raven and, IIRC, Hellboy.

And given that Gryphon keeps calling Ido "Egon" in Scrapheap City Shuffle, Part One: Transformation, it seems pretty obvious that he knew the original Ghostbusters team (in their animated incarnations, at least).

Oh yeah... I forgot that they had become a franchise in UF.
An interesting connection between your points could be made that the animated adventures of the Ghostbusters have come about as part of their franchising. :D

As far as I know, yes, unless DC's retconned it while I haven't been looking (which has been... heck, several years now). Their ultimate purposes in undertaking the project may have been different, though.
