Why do I remember D.W. saying that? Oh well. Maybe we'll get to see Tony Stewart pull his car around the track for a few laps at Ft. Worth this weekend...Putting forums up on the site is a fantastic idea guys, hope it all works out. Keep up the good work, blah blah heaping praise blah blah. --------------------------- "I think we used too much." --------------------------- Chad Collier Digital Bitch J. Random VFX Company |

>Why do I remember D.W. saying that? Nope, it's the kind of thing DW might say, but it was definitely Joy - the last word wasn't pronounced "hayund". :) I'm a huge Darrell Waltrip fan (that's where the name of the little Cyberleader mascot in my usenet/email .sig comes from :)), so I was tickled pink when he pulled down the broadcasting deal for FOX's half of the season. >Oh well. Maybe we'll get to see >Tony >Stewart pull his car around the track for a few laps at Ft. Worth this >weekend... He didn't get a suspension for his little stunt in the pits after the race? I've been driving north all day, so I didn't get to find out what happened to him... --G. -><- Benjamin D. I've only just really gotten into NASCAR this season, and I'm amazed at how drawn into it I've become, probably due in part to FOX's outstanding coverage and crew. >>Oh well. I've been driving north all day, so I didn't get to find out >what happened to him... A quick peek at nascar.com shows a $10,000 fine and 5 month probation... I still think seeing him pull that ugly orange car in a full bridle like Homer pulling the Stone of Shame around the track would be better, and certainly more entertaining. (My parents own a mom and pop hardware store, so I already had an ingrained dislike for the car...this just makes me dislike him more) :) --------------------------- "I think we used too much." --------------------------- Chad Collier Digital Bitch J. I could do without having to watch ads for FOX's -lousy- products during the telecasts, but hey, into each life... Be happy you missed the 1999 season. If they had milked the 50th Anniversary thing any more, it would have mooed in indignation. >I still think seeing him pull that ugly orange car in a full bridle >like Homer pulling the Stone of Shame around the track would be >better, and certainly more entertaining. I'm not a big Jeff Gordon fan (in fact I think he's a bit boring), but the "Fans Against Gordon" contingent really bugs me. --G. -><- Benjamin D. I've only had the chance to watch Saturday Busch series on FX once, but after 3 hours of the same 'Son of the Beach' commercial over and over, I'm content with what they throw at me on Sundays. >I could have done without >all the chuckleheads in the stands cheering for it, though. Don't you know? They do that on purpose, hoping to hypnotize you with nearly naked girls. <some of the folks I know, it wouldn't take much> Lots of skin and mind games are Howard Stern's MO <for those who don't know, Stern is the brains behind SotB> -={(Astynax)}=- "Darkness beyond Twilight" |

LAST EDITED ON Mar-26-01 AT 11:14 PM (EST) >I still think seeing him pull that ugly orange car in a full bridle >like Homer pulling the Stone of Shame around the track would be >better, and certainly more entertaining. (My parents own a mom and pop >hardware store, so I already had an ingrained dislike for the >car...this just makes me dislike him more) Ah, so what you really want is for the Home Depot car and the Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse car to take each other out in an embarrassing and ignominious manner... preferably at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, in some fashion which renders the track unfit for future races. ;) --truss, NASCAR fan since 8 o'clock day one...
