"Child of the Trinity"

It's been 8 months since we last heard of Kaitlyn, Utena and the rest of the gang in their college years. We know of one upcoming major event in their lives: in the spring of 2410, Anthy will give birth to a daughter (if you trust Corwin's prediction, and I do).

We've been waiting a long time for this, and we may wait even longer to really see her shine. The littlest Tenjou will only be 4 years old at the time of Blades, the latest story so far, so she most likely won't become a character until the Next Big Arc. (shouldn't WotOR be moved to that page when it's announced? also, anyone think it's cool how close that acronym is to KotOR?)

The authors of UF tend to take characters from various sources rather than create new ones, except for characters who are authors' namesakes. Sometimes, a borrowed name and a "style" is used as a template to create an otherwise original character (see Corwin).

We know the Next Big Plot is planned out already, so the authors probably have something specific in mind for this character. Which do you think it will be?

Yes, I'll admit it, I'm posting this because I just discovered a really cool anime series and I just can't get over the fact how the main character could be Utena, Anthy and Corwin's daughter. Everything from her uniform and her voice to her personality and quirks is just perfect for the part. She's even got Utena's pink hair and blue eyes. (Some people would ask how Utena could have passed those traits on without genetic material. To which I reply, without a trace of irony: she's just that awesome.)

No, it's not Wedding Peach. Although she has similar taste in headgear.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Modsmacks for being out of line again?

   Well...

We'll find out when G writes about her. All WE can do is hope his muse decides to explain things to him sooner rather than later.

Of COURSE you wernt
expecting it!

I didn't want to start throwing out ideas or break any top-tier rules. Just wanted to say, "I'm excited about this. Is anyone else excited? Have you been wondering about it at all?"

If I want to drive myself mad, there are other ways of handling it.

I'm hoping that Gryph's plans are for another original character - Kaitlyn may have been overrun by Utena (and Utena's supporting cast come to think of it), but she is, in my opinion, a more compelling character in some ways.

For that matter, I'd be more interested in seeing some more of Kaitlyn's supporting cast. Yes, they aren't Heroes in the same mold that Kaitlyn or Utena are. But some of them, at least, are not living lives of quiet anything.

In the mean time, I wait. It's like waiting for anything from a favorite author. Fretting won't help me, bothering the author will only make things worse. So I practice patience.
