"Iron Age MOSAIC #1"

(That's "Meta-Original Soundtrack and Image Collection", for those of you who weren't around when Neon Exodus Evangelion was in production.)

1. Konya wa Hurricane
Kinuko Ohmori [Priss & the Replicants] - Bubblegum Crisis Complete Vocal Collection Vol. 1
[A peculiar name for a song written and performed in Tokyo, where cyclonic storms are called "typhoons"]

2. Turn It Up or Turn It Off
Drivin' n' Cryin' - Smoke
[Chase scene music]

3. Shut Down
Soul Motor - Revolution Wheel
[Fight scene music]

4. Theme to a Fake Revolution
Powerman 5000 - Transform
[Yeah, sure, iTMS reviewer - making the music more melodic and actually bothering to sing once in a while totally means that Spider 1 sold out]

5. Real World
Matchbox 20 - Yourself or Someone Like You
[Am I the only one who keeps mixing these guys up with the Goo Goo Dolls? I know they sound nothing alike, I can just never keep straight which band is which]

6. Smokin'
Boston - Boston
[High-octane doper rock. Priss and her band would cover it, even if they don't smoke pot, and I'm not entirely convinced they don't]

7. They All Fall Down
SR-71 - Tomorrow
[That guitar thing in the bridge at 02:17 owns me for free]

8. Free
Powerman 5000 - Transform
[Jesus, they do sound kind of like Billy Idol]

9. Shock to the System
Billy Idol - Shock to the System
[Speaking of which]

10. Hands in the Air
Joe Satriani - Is There Love in Space?
[Chase scene or fight scene music - Joe does it all]

11. Rock You Like a Hurricane
The Scorpions - Love at First Sting
[ALL THE HAIR METAL YOU CAN STAND]

12. Soldier of Fortune
Loudness - Soldier of Fortune
[JAPANESE hair metal, no less]

13. Smoke on the Water
G3 - Live in Tokyo
[Or the original Deep Purple version would work just fine]

14. Godzilla
Blue Öyster Cült - Spectres
[He's big in Japan]

15. When Worlds Collide
Powerman 5000 - Tonight the Stars Revolt!
[Best album title ever]

16. To Get Down
Timo Maas - Loud
[Not that craptastic Fatboy Slim remix from the CSI soundtrack, either]

17. Even Better than the Real Thing (Apollo 440 vs. U2 Instrumental Mix)
U2 - Even Better than the Real Thing Remixes
['Cause Bono doesn't add value]

18. Top of the World
Powerman 5000 - Transform
[Not to be confused with the Van Halen song of the same name]

19. If You Want Blood (You Got It)
AC/DC - Volts
[I'm sorry their labels sucks so you can't get this one on iTMS - there ought to be a law]

With raw tracks as cut from the CDs, this is a little too long to fit on a single audio CD, but I think some judicious trimming of the live tracks would fix that. There's at least a minute and a half of audience noise and Joe saying thanks just at the end of "Smoke on the Water". Or switching to the Deep Purple version would eliminate the problem entirely.

Enjoy, and please try not to steal wherever possible.
