>Ah, I stand corrected. > >....I wasn't allowed to watch it :-/ Bummer. It was a Hasbro/Sunbow cartoon, same as Transformers, so they were on back-to-back starting at four in the afternoon, if I remember right. Or actually three, I guess, because in my cable market they were on WGN out of Chicago, so everything was an hour later for me. I remember I used to get really annoyed when baseball season started, because I would hurry home from school (which got out at 3:15) and instead of my cartoons there'd be a dang Cubs game half the time. Wrigley Field didn't have lights back then, so they never played night games at home. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. >>Ah, I stand corrected. >> >>....I wasn't allowed to watch it :-/ > >Bummer. Yeah, there's a lot of culture I've only been able to acquire a passing familiarity with secondhand. I'm trying to catch up. Apropos to that, the Netflix She-Ra is really quite good! > >It was a Hasbro/Sunbow cartoon, same as Transformers, so they >were on back-to-back starting at four in the afternoon, if I remember >right. Huh, TIL. And yeah, I'm glad we no longer have to abide by the whims of some TV station program manager for stuff like that. Or "there's 50 channels and the president's on all of them" type situations.
Back on topic, tho, what -was- the original manufacturer? I'm not trusting my memory just now, and there seems to be at least one brand -called- Cobra firearms but their logo has no globe involved-- In Xanadu did Kubla Khan A stately pleasure-dome decree, Where Alph, the sacred river, ran Through caverns measureless to man Down to a sunless sea |

>Huh, TIL. As Eric noted, the company was (and still is, in a much-reorganized form) called Cobray. The animal in the logo is supposed to be a combination cobra and manta ray, a bit of cryptozoology the origins of which I cannot explain. --G. -><- Benjamin D. I love the idea that in the UF universe, Cobray firearms are high-quality, hand-crafted art object firearms, because the real-life ones were... uh... not that. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. Being from Chicago, though, I decided to embrace the team, and have been a lifelong fan. Child me is completely with you, though. -D- "I don't tell you how to remove bullets.
