"Powder Puff Girls -- Animified????"

While puttering around the Classic Battletech Boards,I came across this:

I have no idea if this is real, or a early April fool's joke.....

I don't know if this is the same thing, since they want me to register and Jon Don't Play That Game, but I remember something that sounded similar getting posted a while ago, like six months or more.

Something like this was announced last year...on April 2nd.

If it is a joke, they put a lot of work into it, including promo art and a short clip of the girls' henshin.

You wouldn't happen to be talking about this, perchance? No images there, just a ToonZone news blurb.

I think at this point it's gone well beyond the "maybe a prank" stage.

(Also, not to be confused with Bleedman's PPGD webcomic.)

Bleedman also did single image some time back titled Powerpuff Girls Z in his style. If you hit the discussion boards on Toon Zone there are pics, and what looks more like an official site, but is probably a fansite here, and as you can see, Bleed hit the nail on the head, wherever he got his info from, although I think I like his design a bit better.

>here,

I still have two quicktime videos -- apparently filmed off a monitor somewhere, to judge by the artifacting and the awful sound quality -- that show not only the henshin (as mentioned earlier in the thread), but also a fight with Mojojojo. I also have stills of a promo poster and a set of illos that clearly are the basis for the Bleedman image. Given that the stills seem to have been made at a both promoing the series -- possibly at a convention/meeting of some sort -- it seems obvious that this was at least at one time a real, live project.
