"NXE Second Impact Release"

I just finished re-reading NXE, and realized that the "official" release date of NXE 3:9 was 4/1/2000, which was also the date of the Second Impact in the series. Was this doine intentionally, or is it a random coincidence? And if it was intentional, was it planned from the get go, or did it fall into place as the completion of the series neared. Just a piece of random curiosity flitting around in my brain at this late(early) hour...

I don't remember. It was probably on purpose, but I doubt it was planned particularly in advance. Probably I was getting finished with the episode sometime in March and noticed the date was nearby. I had given up trying to schedule episodes by then (readers who were following the series at the time will recall that that stopped working sometime during Exodus 2 and became completely pointless early in Exodus 3).

I do. Yeah, we were working on it and the date was coming up, so we made a special effort to make sure it was done in advance to be released on that day.

I remember the most pointless stuff.

I know the feeling - I'm a fountain of useless information. I guess I was born to it - one of the Anagrams that I got from my full name (courtesy of the Anagram Genius Server) was "He's a lame jargon museum."

Bonus points to anyone who can reverse engineer my last name :)
