"Don't let that OTHER Washingtonian fool you..."

... for he is from Seattle, a wretched hive of scum and villiany... Oh, forget it, I can't keep that up without a) sounding really corny, and b) busting a gut and spilling my Coke on the keyboard. Hi! I'm Sofaspud (and *a* sofa-spud, if you catch my drift). Interests pretty much coincide with the rest of the folks 'round here (big surprise there). I live in Spokane, WA, USA... IMO an altogether much nicer place to live than, say, the middle of a desert (that being where I *used* to live), but it's lacking in many things. Like anime, for example. Sigh. Oh well, at least I have DSL availability (whew!). I'm a consultant for a living -- now, wait a minute, c'mon, don't be like that. We're not ALL bad, y'know. Gimme a chance, please? :) I got into EPU about, um... four years ago? Hrm. Doesn't seem like it was that long, but it must've been. Eeep. Read all of UF, moved on to HL, WL, .45, and everything else even remotely related to EPU (anyone else read *all* of Otaku Rising? Like, have a little plagiarism... if there could be such a thing when discussing fanfic, I suppose. :), then started writing again myself -- I blame Gryph for that ;) -- and now run a moderately-popular fanfic site. And have no time for writing anymore, dammit. :) Anyway, that's about it. --sofaspud --

Lack of anime in Spokane? Did Comic Book Shop go out of business? Granted it's been a while since I lived in the area, but used to be you could rent everything and it's duck from there... -Michael Napalm. It sticks to ignorance. |

No, but they're focusing more on comics and models than anime, nowadays. Their rental rack shrank from a full wall to a little 8-foot-wide space... and most of that is Ranma. Not that I don't like Ranma (mindless entertainment), but I'd like to see some of the other stuff that's been coming out too, y'know? ;) Craig's pretty good about ordering stuff for me though, so I can't complain too much. :) --sofaspud --you lived in Spokane? Eerie.

Well, I've been putting this off, mostly because I'm not all that fond of talking about myself. I'm Michael (as you may have guessed). Um, short version of me: I'm an Army brat, which means I've got a fairly cosmopolitan view of most things. I've been into anime since StarBlazers, but my hobby ebbs and flows with my cash flow. I'm a gweep by nature, but a cook by trade. I discovered Undocumented Features in 96, and I've never been the same since. I tend to be a little bit pissy and at the same time cheerfully belligerent. I've also been known to take a joke and run it into the ground (sorry Gryph), but I'm getting better. hmmm, not much else to say, I guess... If you've got any questions, you know where to find me ^_^ -Michael. And yes, I'm rambling. Napalm. It sticks to ignorance. |

This looks bad. Waitaminit...I forgot "birthplace of Boeing." That takes Seattle out of the "better off nuked" range. Not by much, though. Peter Eng -- Hey, I live here. I can write abuse about Seattle if I want. |

>Between Bill Gates, Kurt Cobain, the Expensive Music Project, Heh, I haven't heard that one before. I worked on the 'ride film' they've got playing inside of it at the moment. There's some pretty neat stuff in that, even though it is a goofy ride film, and the museum in and of itself sounded like a cool concept, though I've not been up to Seattle to check it out personally, so who knows. ------------------------------ "You're a louse, Roger Smith." ------------------------------ Chad Collier Digital Bitch J.
