"X-Men 3: the Last Stand"

There's a trailer out for the third X-men movie. I'm happy to report that, almost entirely thanks to Eyrie works, I can identify all the major characters in it. (With the exception of the girl making out with Bobby Drake while Rogue watches.)

http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/tls/trailer/

Highlights include Angel, the Beast, and Kitty running from the Juggernaut. (During the last scene, I immediately recognised the figure from the description in Lost and Found, but found myself thinking, "Hang on, why's he *chasing* her? ...oh, right, he's a bad guy in the comics. Duh.")

Depends on the story arc.

Juggs turning over a new (jumbo sized) leaf is a fairly recent thing.

He's most OFTEN been an antagonist.

   >Depends on the story arc.

The movie arc appears to be a mishmash of the Dark Phoenix Saga from the Claremont era and the mutant-cure plotline in the first six issues of Astonishing X-Men, with some bonus Mutant Registration Act action.

Did I mention how much I despise Brett Ratner and all his works?

Quite so. This is, after all, a man who managed to make Jackie Chan not funny, which is akin to Frank Fucking Quitely's amazing ability to make even the likes of Jean Grey kind of lumpy and unappealing.

I will defend Frank Quitely when he WASN'T working on the Marvelverse.

His Judge Dredd years were really very spectacular, particularly his "Missionary Man" work.

But half the point of Judge Dredd is that EVERYONE is ugly there. It's a dark, unpleasant, ugly, dystopian, Thatcherite future and is filled with dark, unpleasant, ugly, Thatcherite people.

Except Judge Anderson. Who Quitely probably made most unappealing.

That does explain why everyone he draws has a hideously exaggerated chin.

I don't actually remember him drawing Anderson. But then again, Arthur Ranson is THE definitive Anderson artist.

And Anderson is becoming quite the interesting character again- although quite WHERE they got the recent other THREE Sisters of Death from is beyond me. They covered Death's history quite comprehensively in Young Death. (Which created quite an amazing backstory for that most terrible of villains.)

Jackie Chan... not funny....

Sorry. I can't parse the two concepts together without a negator between them.

(Although, for the record, my favorite Jackie Chan movie so far is one where he's not the star -- "The Vampire Effect". Cheesy as hell, and as funny as it was cheesy.)

Then you missed Rush Hour 2, which as far as I can tell was specifically created to allow Chris Tucker to be as racist against Asians as he wanted to.

And not funny! Don't forget that, it's very important. Chris Tucker: not bringing the funny.

The only Chris Tucker part I like is from Fifth Element. Now that was funny, "I want ALL positions"

From comments elsewhere, I believe it is Leech, yes.

Only, you know, not as freaky-looking. Because this is the movies and no one wants to see ugly people in movies (q.v. Callisto).

i was thinking "who is that chasing her? it can't be juggy... he's too small", but then i'm used to the juggy in the comics, where he was something like 7' tall and wide as a car... but i also think any logan taller than 5'2" is just wrong.
