   Gryphon.

I too am a writer, thou I am currently limited to my sailor moon fanfics. (I have 3 compleated, and one in the works). And, as a writer to a writer, I have a few questions and comments to make. (Pertaining to Warrior's legacy)

Comments.
Over all. Its a wonderful story. Great plot, excellent character development, unexpected character development, (zangief? a nice guy? all the movies make him come off as an egomaniac with single cell intelligence. Who'd have thought that? *grin*)

Alot of the referances you make, old and new, are really well done and clear. Even thou I was about 7 or so at the time, your description of the blonde from Bionic six was poking at almost forgotten memories.

You've also done some research. Some is common knowledge to most, but you take it a step up and elaborate on things.

Questions.

What made you choose the "first person" point of view style?
How did you manage to cross that many things over in the same story without fouling up?
Whats the joke behind the Tiki mask. *grin*

Anyhow... Great story! Looking forward to reading more when you write it. And reading the rest of the writing on the page.

Oh. To Zoner. Ever play MekTon? hahaha!

If I parsed that right, it's from the Crash Bandicoot series of games
same as the "Wumpa fruit"

fun games, really...tend to be somewhat on the short side, though

MekTon is by the same people who made Cyberpunk. If you havent played either, you really should look into it. solid and easy to learn RPG systems.

As for the Tiki mask. I never DID play any of the crashB games... Not much into the 'tomb raider' style games, excluding soul reaver.

I know - as I said, I'm familiar with it, I've just never played it. I did play CP2020.

I haven't played any RPGs since 1994 or so, I was just never that into it. Once it became more of a chore (having to plan nights, go meet somewhere, work around schedules) as opposed to being on campus when it was easy for everyone to get together, I stopped.

I think I was just in a Raymond Chandler kind of mood the day I started the project.

Well, judging by the email I've received, it's an open question whether I did. :)

Fair enough. I've been playing around with a few story beginnings, and I think first person IS the way to go for my upcoming fic.

well, You get points from me. I think you did well. (so there. haha)

As for Zoner.

I know how you feel. being a player OR a DM. working around people, working around yourself, heck, making sure you go to work too. It has to be fun for it to work.

Granted, thou it may not make for a perfect time all the time, you can get many idea's from the various RPG's.

I agree. I'm writing a story(as many on here may know) and I borowed some Ideas from parasite eve 2 and resident evil and others. games(RPGs in paticuler) have great ideas, just dont take the whole thing, exepand on it, I think thats what Gryph and megazone did, in witch I say "Exelent job!!! keep 'em coming!".

I remember finding Street Fighter: Warrior's Legacy back in, 1996 I think, and I had to read it a couple times to figure out not only references, but to realize that is was a story done in a universe that combined so many, um, different sources. I was stunned when I finished reading it, thinking that this guy is a better writer than those who get paid for it. And to think, the only reason I came across the EPU site was when I was trying to look up Street Fighter fanfiction.

Waitaminute, five years?! I'm getting old....

Serious. The only reason I ever showed up here is because WL was the only Street Fighter Fic I've ever read from beginning to end without getting conflicting ideas. I think it's because Gryph and Zoner treat every character like a new character. It's sometimes hard to tell who they made up, who they didn't, and who's another author. Though, before I got a description of him, I had imagined Zoner as a really short dude in grungy clothes. Nowadays I always see him as sort of a Hunter Hurst Helmsly, dressed all in black...'n stuff.
