"AnimEigo Kickstarting again"
|
AnimEigo launched a 24 day Kickstarter campaign for "Otaku no Video" on BlueRay about 25 hours ago, with the target of $40K. It fully funded in less than 14 hours (22 days left in the campaign). During that 14 hour period, Robert Woodhead said he'd reveal the other project they recently signed contracts for after OnV funded. This morning he announced (via image and caption in OnV's update #1) that they'd be running a Kickstarter campaign for a BD version of "Riding Bean" later this summer. Initial reaction seems to be a little lukewarm - people seem to be more interested in "Gunsmith Cats" :) Jeanne

I was leafing through an old notebook I used to keep long ago - the tail end of it contains notes that look to be early design concepts for Neon Exodus Evangelion - and in the earlier part (so probably dating to around 20-21 years ago), in amongst various mostly-scrapped early FI ideas, shopping lists, addresses, and whatever else, there are numerous reminders to "call Robert Woodhead back". There's no indication in any of them what I might've been supposed to call him back about, and although the notes are in my handwriting, I now have not the slightest idea what interaction I might have been having with the man in the early-to-mid-1990s. Literally none whatever. I don't remember ever meeting or speaking to him in any context, let alone on a matter that apparently went on for some time and involved a quantity of phone tag. Kind of wish I knew what that was about. --G. -><- Benjamin D.
