>Laughing at all these fools while he enjoys a cold, smooth, Colt .45. Not all that implausible, actually. It took me a while to really get Lando Calrissian, though once I did he became my favorite character in Empire. I love that most of his arc is just implied, but once you realize that he's a con man who somehow talked his way into running Cloud City, a job for which he was in no way qualified, and that he's smart enough to fake it reasonably well and keep the place running but only as long as nothing went wrong, suddenly it all kind of falls into place. He's shitting himself with terror at the sight of Han and co. arriving in his little paradise and covering it masterfully, he's improvising wildly the entire time, and when all the plates finally fall of all the poles at once he manages to come up with an Exit Strategy on the fly that still somehow manages to include doing as much of the Right Thing as he can and not get himself Vadered. At the risk of sacrilege, as things new characters introduced in Empire do, that's way more interesting than living in a swamp and saying cryptic Zen things in the voice of Bert. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. >... where the hell is Lando? Due to show up in Ep 8. I'm expecting that he's managed to use his image as the Rebellion general that killed the second Death Star to scam his way into a long, successful, sort-of-mostly-legal second business career that went even better than the one he had going before Han showed up at Cloud City with his old ship. Hell, he might even be one of the suppliers for Leia's ships. And then some asshole started blowing up planets, and before Lando even has time to realise it, there's Stormtroopers knocking at his door, AGAIN, and everyone is looking at him like they expect him to know what to do. Even if he doesn't, at least he'll pretend he does magnificently. Matrix Dragon, J. Random Nutter |

>He's also shown up on Rebels... more than once! Here's something I found slightly funny: that skeevy Devaronian trader/crimeboss/whateverheis on Rebels speaks with an accent reminiscent of the Khajiit characters in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. And the guy who voices him played a great many characters in Skyrim... ... none of whom were Khajiit. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D.
