"Friday, 4/14/06, 9pm EST..."

For those in the US who haven't already seen it, one of the more revealing and just plain good episodes of the Eccelston Dr. Who series is about to air on SciFi channel here. Figured I'd give a heads up to those who haven't been watching it much, particularly since we seem to have a bit of Dalek on the brain in the various forums the past few weeks. :D

Oh yeah, whatever you do, don't miss "Dalek".

And whatever you do, do not miss the "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances" two-parter that's coming up in a bit. Best television ever. You'll laugh until you shit, then piss yourself in terror. It'll be messy and embarrassing, but so worth it.

Rose and Jack are among the best companions... they did more than break the mold with them, they commissioned a new one for all potential upcoming companions.

And I agree, there's plenty of terror in 'The Empty Child'. Dalek is also a good character play, we can finally start getting into the head of the new Doctor. It's also fun to have someone react to a Dalek with something other than fear or loathing.

Given that my best friend worked on that, it shouldn't have taken me that long to draw that connection. I feel like a dork. :)

"The Doctor Dances" has the best cliffhanger resolution ever ;-)

To quote one of the Doctor's lines from that 2-parter (from memory, so it might be a little off):

"I'm glad that worked, those would have been terrible Last Words."
