This does -not- mean that discussion threads regarding it should follow the same template.

Use common sense.

If you're raising new points, or taking the discussion into another direction... start a new thread.

If there are already 25+ posts in a thread... start a new thread unless you're -directly- replying to someone's comments. (And if you have -other- comments besides the direct reply, put -them- in a new thread. Don't drift the topic of long threads.)

Make all the comments you want. Espouse away. We -like- feedback, and we're not telling you not to speak your mind... we're telling you to speak your mind in threads that are short enough to navigate without giving us migraine headaches.

(There is one exception -- an extension of Rule 4. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT make posts consisting entirely of "<shatter>", "woot!", imitations of a Narn Bat Squad, or anything equally content-free. This goes for any thread on any day, but as long as I'm up here on the soapbox already...)

If we again wind up with a very small number of very large threads, Gryph and I will not hesitate to take matters into our own hands and lock them. There -will- be threads of manageable length, either way.

But if we have to do all of the work to accomplish that goal, we won't be in the best of moods.
