"Recent Y'All Need Jesus: Panzermadels."

Given that this forums loves it some Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Kantai Collection, and Upotte?! (I think that's the right name but I won't check on account of life being far, far too short), I thought I might as well throw the following at you. Behold:

Panzermadels is a dating sim in which you - well, not you specifically, some generic animoo blank slate called Erwin for reasons I should hope are obvious - bang tanks. Which are girls now. Yup. Presumably this is a Fly Girls fangame that got hit with the copyright hammer. =]

As for what it's like, well...

FFS gang what the hell did any of you THINK it was gonna be like?

You can download it from Steam here, assuming you are a glutton for punishment or enjoy both dating simulators and WWII military hardware, in which case I hope the judge drops the restraining order distance to 200 yards and allows you back near branches of Chuck E. Cheese.

Is there a Poe's Law for games? Because I feel this comes really damn close.

And here are Lewis and Simon from the Yogscast playing it, for some definitions of playing, in yesterday's Trucking Tanking Tuesday feature.

BTW, if you want to be utterly paralyzed with laughter by stupid physics glitches and a couple of dudes' reactions thereto, go back in the Trucking Tuesday playlist and watch, for instance, the episode about Car Transporter Simulator, or Garbage Truck Simulator (preferably both of those in that order). Or Disaster Response Unit. Holy cow, there are a lot of "doing mundane vehicle-based jobs" simulators. And they all seem to be German. Trust the Germans to make video games in which you do jobs that aren't interesting in real life. :)

They're taking that "no violent toys" thing as far as it'll reach, aren't they?

   >enjoy both dating simulators and WWII military hardware,

Oddly enough, while I personally don't, I do follow an LPer who is. She finally got around to playing this recently, and the video of her playing it is probably more useful than the one Gryph posted if, like me, you want to know what the game is like but are unwilling to actually buy and play it yourself.

Yeah, I have to (very belatedly, because I keep forgetting to do it) acknowledge that the Yogscast is not where you go for sound consumer information. :)

I dunno, I'm playing the hell out of Rimworld thanks to Team Double Dragon, and Divinity before that. Pyrion Flax got me into Dota and Heart of Iron. So there are worse sources!

Yeah, to be fair, Lewis and Simon got me into Goat Simulator. ... Although, again, that could be argued to be unsound consumer advice. :)
