"That Pedal Show"

I just tripped over a hilarious YouTube channel, That Pedal Show, in which two probably-British electric guitar nerds have a great time fooling around with effects pedals. It's the sort of thing I imagine Kate's "Stupid Guitar Tricks" demo being like. You can probably get a good idea if you like it from the one about talk boxes, which will also introduce you to a thing you probably didn't know existed. Talk boxes, that is. Win-win.

I think you'll find that's "Celtic bollocks". :)

Also, I did know what a talk box is, because Joe Satriani used one on Flying in a Blue Dream and I read an article about the making of that album in Guitar magazine back when it came out, a dismayingly long time ago...

It is? I always heard that as 'old country', as in 'back in the old country before the famine and a pint of plain' and degenerate into incoherent mumbles.

Or, to quote one of my old favorite games, Broken Sword: "'Father,' sez I, 'Why do we suffer snot?'"

I knew of them from Peter Frampton.

There is only "open fire" and "I need to reload".
