"Kong: Skull Island"
 
   Capsule review: Kong makes his best showing since the original movie, which sounds like damning with faint praise but it isn't. It's two solid hours of we-need-to-get-the-fuck-off-this-island featuring a bunch of great character actors and a hundred-foot gorilla punching snake monsters. Sam Jackson owns, John C. Reilly owns, John Goodman owns, everybody else does fine but those three and Kong carry the movie. Totally worth it, go see it.

Also there's a post-credits stinger that a) helps set up Kong's place in the Legendary Godzilla continuity and b) gives you an idea what movies these guys are hoping Toho will let them make.
