Internal Communication

From: Wilton Goulet, Chief of Operations
To: All Trouble Consultants
Subject: New Uniforms
Date: Tue May 15 09:03:10 EST 2245

Just a reminder that the Type One TroCon uniforms are phasing out this month. They're still regulation for the moment, but starting June 1, they will no longer be considered appropriate dress for field work.

If you haven't reported to Quartermaster for final fittings for your Type Three uniforms, please do so as soon as possible so that you'll be ready when the deadline arrives. Attached is a précis of the Type Three's key features.

Finallky, please note that it is inappropriate to burn your Type One uniform with a thermite charge. We know a lot of you are happy that you don't have to wear hot pants in the field any more, but some of you are doing serious damage to the office with that behavior. At least take it out to the weapons range, don't do it at your desk, for God's sake.

- GOULET

/// ATTACHMENT: TYPE THREE TROCON UNIFORM FEATURE OVERVIEW

- Armored weave fabric
The Type Three consists of an exotic composite fabric that's breathable and comfortable, but offers some resistance to small arms fire and edged weapons. It's also flame-retardant, chemical-resistant, and stands up well to friction and abrasion.

- Improved body coverage
The new Type Three uniform covers more than 80 percent of the Trouble Consultant's skin surface. With optional hazmat accessories, this can be increased to a full 100 percent. This is a marked improvement over the Type One field uniform, especially the model for female agents.

- Load-bearing harness
An equipment harness similar to the Royal Salusian Army's CarryAll system is incorporated into the superstructure of the Type Three, enabling agents to customize equipment loads without wearing obtrusive web gear. It also doubles as a climbing/parachuting harness, allowing rappelling gear, parawings, and thruster units to be attached directly to the uniform.

- Fully integrated wireless medical monitoring system
The Type Three automatically keeps track of its wearer's vital signs and transmits them to the Trouble Consultant's field base as well as Headquarters Medical Division, allowing for remote diagnosis and even limited treatment options.

- High-visibility lighting system
HoloLite panels similar to those found on many military flight suits ensure visibility in low-light rescue situations and other circumstances where agents need to be seen.

- Active thermoptic camouflage
And when the Trouble Consultant wants not to be seen, the Type Three's active thermoptic matrix can eliminate up to 95 percent of his/her visual and radiant IR signature. (WARNING: Energy supply is limited.)

This new uniform type was developed over the course of several years taking into account a wide range of input from agents in the field, and it tested very well in last fall's limited trial. They'll give the agency a smart, professional new appearance and improve Trouble Consultant efficiency and survivability as well.

Quartermaster Division is indebted to Trouble Consultant Team 261 (Lovely Angel) for their extensive help in developing, testing, re-developing, etc. the Type Three TroCon Field Uniform.

"Right. That's bad. Okay. All right. Important safety tip. Thanks, Egon."

At least they're not going overboard on the paperwork.

... I'm afraid of considering what the MALE Type One uniforms for the 3WA look like, given the female ones.

Oddly, it's just a blue jumpsuit that makes the agent look like a telephone repairman. They appear in a few places in the old anime continuity.
