   Took me a while to notice this. Don dies briefly in the TARDIS, and regenerates, leading to a throwaway:

"How do I look?" he asked wryly as he returned the embrace.
She tilted her head back and grinned. "Same as you ever did,"
she said, "except you're a little taller and your hair's gone black."
She ran a hand through the aforesaid hair, ruffling it, and then
stepped back and nodded. "You must be slowly evolving into Alec
Baldwin," she said wryly.

Alec Baldwin, who in RL-1994 played The Shadow, Don's UF counterpart's (temporary) alter ego. So he did sort of turn into Alec. Well, one of him did, anyway. Ok, my brain's starting to hurt again.

   heh heh. Kitty's only joking; The Hunt for Red October is one of their favorite movies. They must've watched the video like a hundred times back when it came out. "Where are Kitty and Don?" "Watching The Hunt for Red October." became kind of a running gag around the X-Mansion for a while. :)
