*shuffles notecards* I had a few things I wanted to say, in no particular order, just a quick bulleted list perhaps. I'll probably use numbers, since they look better than a dash.

1. See. This is how comics should be written, and as much as I enjoyed reading Don Griffin's story it irritates me that comics can't be this much fun. I think Marvel may be getting it -- what with having six or seven official X-Men timelines: movie, cartoon, Evolution, etc. -- but Gryphon gets it. The X-Men aren't about canon or twenty year old backstories. They're about a bald guy in a wheelchair who gets people to work together to fight for a common good. Gryphon really, really hit that nail on the head with his, and it's a great story for it.

2. I'm glad Jubilee showed up. It's just not the X-Men without her.

3. Canada wants a TARDIS, eh? Well, come on, who doesn't. But that may be the coolest line I've ever read in regards to a TARDIS.

4. Doom was written quite well. Especially the part about him not being a formal engineer. That was a nice twist on the Doom character that, I have to admit, I would have never thought to use. Doom would not see the situation as an engineer, a technologist, or a sorcerer would see it; he would see it as Doom would see it. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

5. I'm glad Beast made it along. Providing they get assimilated into the UF-verse, which is Gryphon's call, Beast would fit in well, I believe, with the IPO crew. Although, Lensman McCoy just sounds wrong, given the overtones of the "McCoy" association. *points to .sig as a means of jarring memories* Still... :)

6. I'm not sure if I've said this on the HL board or not, but I'm glad to see that someone besides me (and Victor von Doom, I suppose) doesn't find Reed Richards all that important when dealing with technological crisis. A good jab -- that whole thing about the one time Don could have used Reed -- at Richards is always welcomed sight. Thank you, Gryphon.

7. Talking to no one in particular: Ironman really is the only readable Marvel comic these days, a fact I attribute to its disproportionate inclusion of holographic girls. TGIF!

8. Gryphon has the almost singular ability (I think one or two other writers) to write stories that FEEL like the stories I made up during Christmas breaks when playing with my assorted X-Men, Batman, Ninja Turtle, etc. action figures. Thank you.
