"Quick! Hide the women! He's Back!"

A quick explanation, I'm a former forum member that was kicked of by the system for not posting, and has had a difficult time re-enlisting.

I first joined up in Oct. of 03. Here is A link to my original intro post.

I made the odd post now and then, got bitched at for resurrecting a dead thread, but no major offences.

After about a year and a half, I went offline for 6 months, due to a lack of a landline. You don’t surf the web on a cell phone, and you don’t hook up a phone to a travel trailer on a construction site.

When I tried to log back on, I found that my account was deleted. So I tried to re-register, with no luck.
For reasons unknown, I was prevented from reaching the sign up page.
Instead I was dumped onto the “you don’t agree with our terms, you suck” page.
I e-mailed Ben about it, but he couldn’t find anything wrong with the system, so he thought that it had to be on my end. I have had no problem signing up to other forums, just Eyrie's.

For the last 2 years I have been trying to log on with no success. I have tried over a dozen different computers, running win9x, winXP, and Ubuntu Linux, on both dial-up and Verizon Fios, with no luck.

Last week I tried again at work, on the office network, over a SBC/Pac-Bell line and got through.
This leads me to believe that someone on the Verizon network in SoCal got banned, and it affected my attempts to join up. Now that this is over, I intend to drop it, and not bug Ben about it as he has much more important things to think about.
So yes, I'm back and I intend to stay!

As far as I know, I haven't banned anybody. I've only really been tempted to once, and that guy went away of his own accord years ago. Besides, if Verizon was blacklisted, I wouldn't be able to get on. :) Very weird.

Well, regardless, I'm glad you finally made it back on. :)

Yeah, I had that problem as well for a LONG time.

And I'm in the UK, so it's most likely a glitch elsewhere.
