LAST EDITED ON Dec-17-01 AT 04:04 PM (EST) I pity you for having a birthday so near Christmas... (Arrrgh! It's snowing AGAIN. If that's your present, you need to move your birthday into June, like me.) -Craig Oh, um, happy birthday. |

Don't know anyone that close to Xmas, but My sister is New Year's Eve (12/31), and I know a couple of people whose birthday often falls on Thankdgiving... >Mine is next Thursday. Ye gods, having a b'day between Christmas and New Years is only slightly less sucky than having it on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. (My due date was actually Christmas Eve; the fact that I was born a week early is something I'm thankful for every time I receive distinct presents :). -- Sean -- http://www.thebrokenlink.org The Broken Link 4.0 is live! LAST EDITED ON Dec-17-01 AT 04:59 PM (EST) >I pity you for having a birthday so near Christmas... It suxx0rz. It has always suxx0red. My immediately family has always kept the two distinct, as have some close friends, but anyone even slightly more distant is like as not to send me a combination present. My twin sisters have their birthday in July, and have never gotten combination presents in any form that I know of. (Obviously, not birthday/Christmas, but even then, they've also never been given a single gift for the both of them that I know of.) The other thing is that most of my friends and family have absolutely no idea how to buy for me. I no longer make up lists to simplify things for them; I prefer seeing what people come up with on their own, which is, all too frequently, gift certificates. And I appreciate the thought and all, but do you have any idea how much of a bitch it is to use a gift certificate this close to Christmas? (Last year I spent two hours going about three blocks so I could get to the Barnes and Noble in Whitehall, PA to spend the gift certificate my mother sent me for my birthday.) >(Arrrgh! It's snowing AGAIN. If that's your present, you need to move >your birthday into June, like me.) I would just about kill to see some snow here in NC. I don't miss driving on snow, but I miss the snow itself. >Oh, um, happy birthday. Um, thanks :). -- Sean -- edited to fix a typo http://www.thebrokenlink.org The Broken Link 4.0 is live!
