"MOSAIC: Neon Exodus Evangelion: Exodus 3 - Revelations in Real Time"

This one underwent a complete revision partway through season 3, and I'm still not entirely content with it, but what the hell...

1. Land of Confusion (Extended)
(Genesis, "Land of Confusion" single)
(Neon Exodus Evangelion Main Title Theme)
[Props to our very own Jer Johnson for finding me a third version of this song to differentiate Season 3 with.]

2. Southampton
(James Horner, Titanic OST 1)
(RMS Titanic Theme)

3. Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)
(Savatage, Dead Winter Dead)
(The Gift of the Magi)
[This track actually makes a dandy soundtrack for the final battle between DJ/Lucifer and the SEELE EVAs on Route 146 in The Blood-Dimmed Tide, if you can get past the fact that that scene has nothing whatever to do with Christmas.]

4. Istanbul (Not Constantinople)
(They Might Be Giants, Severe Tire Damage)
(Garden Path Theme)
[This track gets its designation from the scene that it's in, in which I merrily lead the audience down the garden path. Unfortunately, I misjudged the effectiveness of the ploy, and some readers remained firmly entrenched in the garden after the payoff, which sort of blunted the joke. Oh well. It's critical, btw, that this be the Severe Tire Damage version, not the also-great but very different version from Flood.]

5. In the Air Tonight (Live)
Phil Collins, Serious Hits! Live)
(Rei & Gendou, The Trigger Effect)

6. Save Yourself
Stabbing Westward, Darkest Days)
(Second Impact)

7. Lights of Heaven
Joe Satriani, Crystal Planet)
(Tabris)

8. A Train of Angels
Joe Satriani, Crystal Planet)
(Reilael)

9. Calling All Stations
Genesis, Calling All Stations)
(Ritsuko)

10. No Son of Mine
Genesis, We Can't Dance)
(Shinji Ikari's Theme)

11. Ultra Yak
(Atari, Tempest 2000)
(Shinji Ikari's Battle Theme)

12. Big Time
(Peter Gabriel, So)
(Asuka Strikes Back!)

13. Cold
(Colorblind... ack! I can't remember the title of Colorblind's second album!)
(Rei & Lucas)
[This song, by an on-again, off-again local band Truss discovered, is the perfect track for the sequence preceding the one for which I neglected to track in Stabbing Westward's "The Thing I Hate". I'll post the lyrics a bit later.]

14. Parallel
(Bad Religion, The Gray Race)
(Moloch's Last Stand)
[This didn't get into the actual scene either, and "The Thing I Hate" is better for it anyway.]

15. The Prisoner
Howard Jones, Cross That Line)
(Jon & Rei)

16. Blue Moon
(The Ventures, Walk Don't Run: The Best of the Ventures)
(Neon Exodus Evangelion Closing Title Theme)

You never let me see the sun
You keep me in this room
I can't get off the floor
Now you're tormenting me for fun
But someday I'll see the sky
If only I could reach the door

You make me hate myself
I loved you more than life
I never wanted this
Now I just want to die

I know you want to see me fall
I know you want to see me crawl
I can't hold on, I can't let go
Do I still care? I just don't know
I wish that I could disappear
Stay away, don't come near me
You make me sick sometimes

How could you be so cold?
I thought you really cared
You lied so well
Maybe I should blame myself
Sometimes I'm just so dumb
I wanted to believe you

You made me hate myself
I loved you more than life
I never wanted this
Now I just want to die

I know you want to see me fall
I know you want to see me crawl
I can't hold on, I can't let go
Do I still care? I just don't know
I wish that I could disappear
Stay away, don't come near me
You make me sick sometimes

I wish I'd never met you
I was blind before
And now I cannot feel
Anything at all
And how will I forget you when you go?
This can't be real
This can't be real

That'd be Euphoria. But you've said that, now. :)

Ok, what the hell... why not.

I have three still-shrink-wrapped copies of Euphoria. I also have an mp3 excerpt from this song (intentionally sampled at the not-awe-inspiring 96kpbs rate, just in case anyone gets any pirate-y ideas) on my io.com account.

In the interest of getting more people to listen to them (and maybe, just maybe get them to actually publicize themselves), I'll send the CDs to the first three non-Massachusetts residents that ask for them via email. You will have to pay for them, though... $10 is what they cost me, and it's what they'll cost you. No, I won't charge for shipping.

Why am I excluding Massachusetts residents? Because I want the more local people to email jkervin@aol.com (Jon Kervin, the lead singer) and order copies directly. And to harass him about playing and advertising shows, while they're at it.

My rules, I make 'em up. :)

--truss.
(My email address? Well, that's my username, and this is the domain. I'm not gonna spell it out because I don't want spambots to find the address.)

(FYI, I also have three copies of their first CD, All Good Things... -- but that doesn't have any Eyrie soundtrack songs on it. :)

(Oh, and I'll be deleting that mp3 when I get back from Anime Central, if not sooner.)

heh.. I was browsing around in Al Bums, a CD shop in Worcester, and found a copy of the "Land of Confusion" single, british import , IIRC. Knowing it was a rarity around these parts, and knowing Gryph had an affinity for the song, I picked it up for him.

And that's... The Rest of the Story.
