"Anime Recommendations: Romance"

Okay, got some good ones here, I think. Nothing too special about this category in terms of this post, just series that focus more on the romance than any other aspect, in my estimation. This isn't really a genre I watch on purpose - it's usually something that happens in the course of a comedy, or a fantasy, or a magical girl show, for me, so this one is probably gonna be pretty short. As always, please chime in with your own!

My Dress-Up Darling
Wakana Gojo is a high school student with a secret admiration for hina dolls and aspires to become a craftsman like his grandfather. Having been socially traumatized for his passion, he had closed himself off from everyone. One day at school, his classmate Marin Kitagawa runs into him using a sewing machine for making a doll's costume. After admiring Wakana's doll and praising his work, Marin asks if Wakana could help her create cosplays. Initially, Wakana is nervous about his ability to create cosplay costumes for Marin because of his experience being limited to Hina dolls. However, he agrees to do it.

--Nothing I can say that wasn't said better by Gryphon

ToraDora!
Ryuji Takasu is frustrated at trying to look his best as he enters his second year of high school. Despite his gentle personality, his eyes give him the appearance of an intimidating delinquent. He is happy to be classmates with his best friend Yusaku Kitamura, as well as the girl he has a crush on, Minori Kushieda. However, he unexpectedly runs into "the school's most dangerous animal of the highest risk level"—Taiga Aisaka—who just happens to be Minori's best friend. Taiga has a negative attitude towards others and has a habit of snapping violently at people. She takes an instant dislike to Ryuji, and it turns out she is living in an apartment facing Ryuji's house. When Ryuji discovers that Taiga has a crush on Yusaku, and Taiga finds out about Ryuji's affections towards Minori, they make an arrangement to help set each other up with their crushes.

--ToraDora is one of my favorite romantic shows ever. Though I don't have a lot to compare it too, I found it extremely refreshing.

Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san (Teasing Master Takagi)
Middle school students Nishikata and Takagi sit next to each other in class. Takagi enjoys teasing Nishikata with embarrassing pranks and jokes. In response, Nishikata creates plans to get his revenge, but he fails when she identifies his weaknesses and capitalizes on them. In some rare instances where Takagi loses the challenge, Nishikata does not feel like he really won. The setting is based on the town of Tonoshō in the Kagawa Prefecture.

--This one is very cute, the much more emotionally mature Takagi - who seems to know exactly what she's doing -with the more childish Nishikata - who only barely has a clue. There's a sequel series as well, though it's currently manga-only.

Actually, I am
Asahi Kuromine, a normal high school student who supposedly cannot keep a secret, finds his demeanor quickly challenged when he spots his classmate, Youko Shiragami, unfurling a large pair of wings from her back. He learns that Youko is a vampire, and that she is only able to attend a normal school on one condition: no one must discover her true identity. This secret becomes difficult to maintain, as Youko herself is an airhead and Asahi's childhood friend Mikan keeps bullying the two of them. Later on, he discovers more girls in his school with secrets of their own: a tiny alien who rides a human-sized exoskeleton of herself, a werewolf capable of switching gender at any depiction of a moon, a thousand-year-old demon who secretly runs the school, and more who pose a challenge as Asahi tries to maintain Youko's secret.

--Also called "My Monster Secret", which both gives stuff away and isn't entirely accurate, this is a bit more of a romantic comedy. Don't have too much to say about it besides I like it.

....Yeah, that seems about it, unless I want to stretch what I consider romantic anime a bit. Well, shorter posts are good, too, sometimes. At least I'm not leaving a lot out this time. About the only one I'm not listing is because I've consumed so little of it, but would definitely fit my arbitrary criteria from everything I've heard of it is Sound! Euphonium, but since I actually know so little about it, I can't say anything except "This also exists."
