"Anime Recommendations: Stuff to watch for edition!"

Hey there! Been a while, but we're back, and THIS time, I'm going to be recommending stuff that I read as manga that's new this season and being turned into anime! There's a fair bit of that this season, last season, and in coming seasons, so let's get this party started, shall we?

Adventurers Who Don't Believe in Humanity Will Save The World
In Labyrinth City the adventurer Nick is abruptly kicked from his team by his mentor Argus, followed by his girlfriend Claudine dumping him. Disillusioned Nick develops an otaku lifestyle around new teen idol Agate. To fund this lifestyle Nick must return to adventuring but fails to join a new team. By chance at an inn he shares a table with sorceress Tiana, ex-priest Zem and Dragon-girl Curran, all disillusioned over something. Tiana is a magical prodigy jilted by her fiancé jealous of her abilities. Abandoning her studies she became a gambling addict and failed to become an adventurer because her glaring eyes scare away potential teammates. Zem used to be a Healer Priest until he rejected the advances of a young village girl. Angered, she accused him of rape, leading to his expulsion from the priesthood. He decided to become an adventurer, but freed from his vow of chastity he has become a womaniser and a drunk. Curran merely explains someone she trusted stole something from her. The four drink together over their shared inability to trust people. Nick realises they will remain disillusioned unless they do something about it and suggests they form an adventuring team together.

-- Four people broken and disheartened by people being horrible to them learning how to trust again.

Isekai Ojisan(Uncle from Another World)
In modern-day Japan, Takafumi Takaoka picks up his uncle who recently awakened from a 17-year coma after being hit by a truck. Uncle shows the ability to use magic spells, and explains that he was actually sent to another world. Takafumi lets his uncle move in with him, and he, joined by Takafumi's childhood friend Sumika Fujimiya, spends his days helping Uncle adjust to modern society while also watching his memories of the other world.

--This one is from last season. This one leans more into what I'm going to call 'cringe comedy' than I usually like, but it has an extreme earnestness to it all that's just charming as all heck. What the wikipedia excerpt doesn't mention is that Uncle was an extreme Sega fanboy before he got Truck-kun'd, which is its own source of comedy~ There was some weirdness in production that halted it for a while and Netflix Canada at least still hasn't gotten the other half of the season up, but it exists somewhere.

The Way of the Househusband
Tatsu, an infamous and feared yakuza boss nicknamed "the Immortal Dragon", retires from crime to become a househusband so that he can support Miku, his kyariaūman wife. The episodic series depicts a variety of comedic scenarios, typically wherein Tatsu's banal domestic work as a househusband is juxtaposed against his intimidating personality and appearance, and his frequent run-ins with former yakuza associates and rivals.

--This one is just hilarious, with everybody misinterpreting his words and actions, since he seems physically incapable of not using language that sounds like euphemisms for crime...in one direction or the other. Season 2 has already begun over on Netflix.

Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World For My Retirement
(No Wikipedia synopsis here, so here's mine) After being accidentally killed by God and resurrected with certain powers as an apology, a young japanese woman gains the ability to travel between the modern world and another, fantasy-based one at will, bringing other people and objects with her. She decides to use this (with God's full permission) to make enough money in gold pieces which she can sell, to never have to work again. It's mostly a light and fluffy series, at least the manga is, though there are, of course, some dark and violent moments. But she herself isn't that overpowered. It's the fact she has access to modern firearms and a mercenary company that make her overpowered.

Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire
In the Kingdom of Silvare lived the Hero-King Inglis. With the personal blessing of the goddess Alistia, Inglis became a divine knight, slaying the enemies of humanity and the dark gods to establish the Kingdom. As a last favor granted to him on his deathbed, the goddess Alistia reincarnated Inglis as his single greatest regret was not being able to reach the peak of mastering the blade. Now reborn as a woman (perhaps at the jesting whims of the goddess), Inglis Eucus strives to live a life in the far future where she can truly master the blade.

--I admit it's been a bit since I've read this one, but I remember enjoying what I saw of it.

Handyman Saitou in Another World
(Again, no Wikipedia synopsis, so here's me) Saitou, a regular handyman, ignored, insulted, and just generally stepped on by people who think he's beneath them because he's just a simple repairman, gets summoned to a world of fantasy and magic, where his skills are appreciated by the party that accidentally summoned him in the first place. Mostly comedy in the manga.

Campfire Cooking in Another World with my Absurd Skill
(Again, no wikipedia synopsis) A salaryman gets summoned by accident along with a trio of three heroes. Since he was an accidental summoning and he didn't have the proper skills, he was essentially thrown away with little to no help or guidance. But it turns out that his skill is incredibly useful - he can buy things 'online' and have them delivered instantly from the modern world. He proceeds to wander the world largely ignored, along with the Fenrir that mutually adopted him because he made good food, with occasional chats with the various Gods of the world who all have a taste for modern luxuries that he can sacrifice to them.
