The Jolly Fat ManOkay, maybe I'm just dumb, but am I the only person who has some questions or is unclear about Dan Ellison? In the end of the normal episodes, he has that confrontation with DJ that makes him seem just like the rest of his brothers. Then, through a look at his own thoughts in Apothesis Now, we learn that he really doesn't really want to participate in what he's doing, but is too scared to go against Natlateth. SHortly after that, he actually helps San and Shinji "borrow" the two remaining Evangelions, telling San to "give Ni hell" before he leaves. The last we hear of him is when San is telling Shinji about Ichi. In this case, he seems compassionate, attempting to comfort Ichi over the loss of one of the only people she cares about. I guess what this long-winded explaination is getting at is that I'm still not sure whether his final actions were out of spite, as indicated by his helping San and Shinji, or if they were out of kindness, as indicated by his trying to comfort Ichi. Basically: Is Dan more like Jon than the rest of his twisted brothers?
Sorry for taking so long with that whole thing.
You can't stop me, I just keep rolling
The only problem is, I don't know where I'm going
