"WOOHOO!!!!!!"
 
   I know this doesn't really belong on the board, but I'm just too happy not to share it...

Last Tuesday my mom had cancer surgery, and the initial report left some concern that there may have been some spreading to the lymph nodes. I just talked to her and the pathology report came back negative - it was all contained, and they took it all out. No more cancer!!!

Anyway, that's all - I just had to tell somebody :)

That's great! Being a current cancer patient, I know how wonderful and relieving it feels to have tests show up negative for cancer. I wish her good luck in recovering from surgery and hope that she fares well if she still has any other treatment to go through. It's amazing what they can do today to not only slow cancer but rid patients of it completely. Looks like your family will have a good reason to be happy during the holidays :)

   Thank you to everyone for your support (posted or otherwise)! I just got back from a visit home and my mon's doing great all things considered. She's in great spirits, and mostly is tired of being tired... :)

I relayed your wishes to her and she sends her thanks - I might even have convinced her to start reading SOS :)
