"Uh oh"

So the more I read about this, I decided to take a look at my old STO install from back in the beta, and suddenly I was patching, and then somehow I ended up with a Lt. Commander in the Klingon Defense Force who just got done teaching the PetaQ from House Torg a lesson and I have no idea what I'm doing. :)

Is anyone running around on the KDF side?

K'senya MacCready is presently level 37 and presently a bit stuck on a ground mission featuring an enemy that appears to have something very like one-shot kill capabilities. Also, I have a horrible urge to make a Gorn captain named Hossk.

Well, either way, if you want a little buddy, let me know. :)

I'll probably try on a Feddie again, eventually, too, but this has been more fun than I remember the early Fed game being back in the days when the game was Young and Slavic.

I have a level-capped engineer, Kaluma, and a mid-level (30s) tac officer, R'Mukka, red-side. Sooner or later I'll be rolling a science officer, who I intend to be an Orion mad scientist.

If anyone from here needs some overwhelming firepower on the red, blue, or green sides send a mail to @Malkarris (no first character name should go to all my alts, if that doesn't work try T'real@Malkarris) and I can tag along, probably. Just mail, because usually I'm not on long, and the times can vary wildly.

I'm open for helping people with end game stuff as well, even Epohh tagging.

Damn Epohhs.

Same here -- I have solidly-geared level-capped Fed and KDF captains (particularly for space combat), and my level-capped Rommie isn't too shabby. (I need to work on her ground kit, in particular, though. Something I'll be looking at for Season 9, when the rep system revamp hits.) I can be found at @Kystran (which I would love to change, but can't); I'm most likely to be found on T'Laaru@Kystran.

I feel bad about discarding all these surplus tribbles. I'll tell my crew they went to live on a farm.

You know, you can get a cannibal tribble that eats other tribbles and leaves tribble carcasses. Which you can trade in to a contact for Gold-Pressed Latinum on the KDF side. Solves that excess white and green tribble problem.

Yeah, Swede had one for a while. No idea where it came from. I sold it after determining that it had no evident use, other than replacing one useless bit of inventory clutter with a subtly different, equally useless bit of inventory clutter. :)

(My conclusion is not really altered by what you just said, since, well, the hell I'm going to go find one person in the vastness of the galaxy so I can trade in dead tribbles for an in-game currency I don't use. I've got other stuff to do. My medical staff is busy immunizing the entire Alpha Quadrant against five different diseases!)

Note that that doesn't count the other places where other members of the medical staff are treating outbreaks.

Honestly, sometimes it feels like we're the only ship in Starfleet, but I guess you can't really expect the captain of the USS QQ MOAR to care about the Federation's humanitarian mission.

Many of my crews used to be rather horrified by the casual disposal of Tribbles, and the fact they were being used in the fleets biology labs (Even better then lab rats!). Then there was the Carnivorous Tribble Swarm incident. They're a lot more forgiving now.

I'm given to understand that, once upon a time, one could feed tribbles into the replicator's "recycle" window. I remain disappointed that this was taken out before I began playing the game in earnest.

Hey if you think the tribbles are bad, you should see the starbase construction projects. Thousands of duty officers fed to the starbase, never to be seen again.

Okay, you could say they are crewing the starbase, but where is the fun in that?

I don't think even a starbase could possibly need that many crew.

Then again, Erisa's HEC has less than half as many crewmembers as she has duty officers...

Think of it less as supplying crew and more 'supplying raw material for the replicators'. Starship parts, weapons and costumes don't grow on trees.

Leave your current fleet, stand around on Earth Space Dock until some random invites you out of the blue. Run to the bank, fill their fleet bank with tribbles. Rejoin your previous fleet. Problem solved.

I was going to offer to poke around in my various banks for non-bound lower-tier-but-still-useful kit, but then I noticed you appear to already have at least one VA character, in one of the odd times when we've actually been online at the same time. :)

Since that's the case, do you need any firepower from a VA for any missions, or want to run some regular STFs sometime? Or anything else my fairly limited resources can provide? (I've only got about 3 mil EC at the moment, spread around across various characters, so it won't be much in the way of material assistance useful to a VA, but for firepower or middling knowledge of missions and some STFs, I can be of some use. :) )

Spiffy. Since I just got my Klink-side tac captain to Lt. General, I'll probably want to be doing stuff on her to try to get at least some Tier XI blue gear going. You can be my meat ship-shield ;).
