"Dorfromantik"

(No, I did not sneeze while typing the post title)

It's a city-builder... sort of... puzzle game... kinda? Except you don't have to worry about Cities: Skylines or even SimCity levels of managerial timewastery; you just plop down tiles where it'll do the most good, either aesthetically or for points if you're playing in classic mode.

It sounds brain-dead simple, and on the face of it it *is*, but it's also soothing and relaxing and just plain *pretty*, both visually and for the ol' ear-holes. And yet it has enough challenge that I found myself surfacing for air after four-odd hours wondering just what the hell happened.

Boats and trains actually move around on the map you're creating! They're so cute!

I've just unlocked the Fjord biome and am really curious as to what that'll look like.

I'd describe it as a tile-matching puzzle game, like a chill singleplayer Carcassonne. A youTuber I follow alerted me to it and I got it when it came out of Early Access. Can confirm, really pleasant to look at and calming to play.
