"Rather late question, but..."

I guess this has been asked before, but Commissioner Amberson in Secrets is Prince Julian of Amber, Guardian of Arden, etc etc, isn't he?

   Alas, yes.

Lord, what a heap of pretense that story is.

Yes, well... We've all been young and done dumb things that we're not proud of, but thankfully most of us here have outgrown that phase :)

I still like the story in context of the timeframe it was written in, but I will admit that it's not your best work.

... I hesitate to admit it, but, now that it's clicked who you are, I feel obliged to point out that Otaku Rising made for -excellent- slapstick RPG source material.

And you have no idea how long I spent trying to figure out a semi-plausible way for the UPS truck to -fit- all that junk. (Half a legal pad of scribbling later, I concluded it was a Magic Space Warp and left it at that. :) )

I still have the files and occasionally dust them off, just for grins, too. They're bad, yeah, but they're bad the same way Caveman or Ice Pirates are bad. Entertainingly so.

That's OK. I never took it all that seriously myself. :)

Although, I still like that "Desslock takes a meeting" scene. It was probably my strongest bit.
