I can imagine Larry saying "Right, tell the Boss I'm taking the rest of the century off. I'll be on Risa if anybody needs me." ------ Jon Helscher That thing you burned up isn't important to me. It's the fluid catalytic cracking unit. It made shoes for orphans. Nice job breaking it, hero. GLaDOS- Portal |

>The whole point of the coldness of this era is that it makes the >moments of light and warmth stand out so much more. Yeah. And there aren't any of those in the piece I did yesterday, which is why, upon further review, I've decided to put it carefully in a can and bury it. I'd happily have posted it, even been a bit proud of it, 15 years ago(!), but I'd like to think things have moved on a little bit from the straight revenge-for-its-own-sake vignette since then. --G. -><- Benjamin D. If you put it together without some sort of tie-in to "current" events, then yes. OTOH, if it's the first half of a pair of stories, where the darkness of if the first story sets up the counterpoint of how things have changed in the second, then it might be worth it. Perhaps there's some part of the story you just wrote that will show its worth further down the line, if not on its own then as part of a bigger story. Don't release it if you don't think it's up to snuff, but don't bury it too deeply either - you just might need it later :)Offsides P.S. One final thought that just came to me - perhaps the whole point of writing it was to get it out of your system, and help you move on to other stuff that you do feel is up to your current standards...
