"Hunted Rose compile: Completed"

Especially neccecicary after having seen G'Kon with a bat. At that point I shattered, even though I knew he was WPI's varisty first baseman.

Anyway, after having thouroghly shattered, and a very slow re-compile because of the small peaces that were left, I have these comments.

Narn Bat Squad.... SHould have seen it coming, but didnt. Complete shatterage at that point.

Lesser M and Tini Robo... Didn't I just say a day or two ago that whatever added features were going to be necceary to the story, which is why we didn't know what they were?

Lisa & Xeri.. Xena... Whatever. Gods do I feel like a goof. Here I was defending the theory that Lisa had to have found out on her own because why the heck would X know her, and feel that she was the person to tell about Dev??

Lisa Vs Psi Corps: Don't you all get it yet? What would be even more valuable to the PSI's than just a blip? A VOID! They could 'program' Lisa, and send her to do whatever, and no one would ever know because NO ONE CAN READ HER! As far as Teep's and other Psi's go, LISA DOESNT EXIST! You can't probe the secrets out of her brain because as far as TP'ing goes, she doesnt have one. Not that she uses the one biology must have issued her much anyway other than plotting against Kait.

Lisa in general... assuming that they didn't finish the mental spin cycle on her, Lisa's gonna need some SERIOUS counciling in later years. Everytime she tries to get back at Kate of late, not only does it blow up in her face, but often Kate winds up bailing her out.

Dot: Yup, she's not Asimovian, that's for certain. Still, she does have a Positronic brain, or she wouldnt' have needed to take action the way she did, obviously.

Mac: Major secondary shatterage there, but most everyone else has beaten me to the punch on what I wanted to say... Except that I'm surprised that no one use a "Your name is Mudd" crack during this chapter. Not that Mac would particularly LIKE it either.

Minor observation: For some reason I never realised what system Bajor was in before. Did I miss some forshadowing again, or what?

Hoshi: Shouldn't she be missing on the NX-01 with Archer and crew? Well, I guess not, since she's here. But what position does she have, since Vision clearly has the equivalent of her job on Challenger?

Admiral Aya... Gods, does she get a lot of milage out of her rep or what? That's also probobly why they sent her... she'd be the least likely to let earth get away with an "accident".

Chaos-Zoner: We're going to have to see more of him and his other chaos based powere now, you know... right now He's comming off to me like Vaughn Jr. To bad you couldn't slip more of a description of his sidearm in; am I correct in assuming its that same hand artillery piece that was discussed a couple of months ago in "Weapons of the EoJ" or something similar?

Jer: Now I see why he ususally uses UsagiJer as a nick on mIRC. (For those of you who are wondering, Usagi is japaneese for Rabbit) Must be an interesting story on how it is that HE's Co for B-5. Also, Jer, I have a bone to pick with you... you just HAD to go and tell Vaughn about me, didn't you? Do you realise what this has done to my week now that Reality has remembered me? I've had a run in with Murphy's Deamons second only to our new Antagonist of the Arc. And I now need to change my sig until he forgets about me again.

Aside from the Psi Corps, who don't make jokes, nobody knows.

I don't think the Star Trek version of Bajor is in Epsilon Eridani. I believe it's supposed to be much further from Earth than that.

Vision is the Information and Communications Systems Officer, which is basically the equivalent of being the ship's sysadmin. Sato is the chief Communications Officer, which means she talks to people.

I'm waiting for him to hit someone upside the head with an aluminum baseball bat, personally. But then, I have very schizoid logic processes and sail the Seas of Cheese occasionally.

That's alright. I'm just waiting for Soundwave to do a walk-on wearing a T-shirt reading "Primus Sucks!"

Good point, I'd forgotten that. And poor Mac would probobly feel compelled to do something simillar to the Tribble chow incident if they did, too...

Exactly. In the 'source' it seemed way out there, and I'd only heard "Bajor" and "Bajoran space" but never really knew what the STAR was called. I figured I'd missed something. Then again, Even when you did say Eps. Edrani, I didn't place it at first cause I never rememberd hearing what system it was that the orginal B-5 was built in either, save that it was punativly Neutral teriroty for everyone.

Ok, that makes sense. Vision would have the responsibility for making certian that the comm system WORKS, while Hoshi is the one who does the talking. Makes sense, since Vision does have a vested interest in making certain her home stays on-line and connected to other places as needed; but not as much in talking to non IPO personnel.

Ah. Yeah... in Star Trek, the star is only ever referred to (as far as I can recall) by its local name, Bajor-B'hava'el. They never mention what its Earth astronomy name is (assuming it's visible from Earth).

I'm not entirely certain that they ever came right out and said that Babylon 5 was in Epsilon Eridani. The planet it orbits is usually just called "Epsilon III". The Babylon 5 universe is pretty small, though, compared to, say, Star Trek, so it's entirely conceivable that such a relatively nearby star could be in neutral territory in that universe.

FWIW, the Babylon Project gamebook does identify the planet as Epsilon Eridani III. Game sources aren't the most reliable of data, but for my purposes, well, I didn't really care that much.

Anyway. In the UF universe, Bajor-B'hava'el is the local name for Epsilon Eridani. Given that the culture of the local area is Earth-centric (even more so than in Star Trek, almost nobody ever calls it Bajor-B'hava'el other than Bajorans, though at least most people are polite enough to call the planet Bajor and not Epsilon III.

It's not stated in the -show-, but JMS has said it's Epsilon Eridiani.

Which is not to say that it couldn't be someplace else if the plot demanded it, but as the show's over, that doesn't matter.

Blessed be.
