Following is a list of the regular monthly titles published by the Bacon Comics Group (as of June 2411).The Bacon Comics Universe
Titles under this imprint are set in the fictional Bacon Comics Universe, as established in the 21st century and revived in last year's maxi-series The Ultrachron Emergency.
JusticeCo
The Bacon Comics Universe imprint's flagship title, JusticeCo features stories of the eponymous superteam, which counts as its members most of the universe's major heroes. Issues often feature short B-stories featuring members of JusticeCo who don't have their own solo titles.
Top Thrills! Comics featuring the Scarlet Sentinel and Arsenal
As the subtitle suggests, this title chronicles the adventures of the heroic Scarlet Sentinel and his intrepid partner in crimefighting, Arsenal, the Girl of a Thousand Weapons.
Action Comics
An anthology title used to spotlight BC Universe heroes who don't have ongoing solo titles of their own, and also to introduce new characters. This title traces its lineage back to one of Old Earth's first comic book publishers, a descendant of which was bought up by BaconMedia in the 2000s.
Bacon Comics Team-Up
Just what it says on the tin: Each month in Bacon Comics Team-Up, two (or sometimes more) Bacon Comics characters team up. Usually it's two heroes, but villains have been known to get in on the act as well.
Red Hot Comics starring The Szechuan Sage
Here he stands, the invincible man of culinary skills! Trained from childhood in the mystic ways of the Chinese battle chef, Chen Kenichi roams the world battling the twin evils of demonic infiltration and bland food.
Doctor Analog, Practitioner of Science
The Bacon Comics Universe's most beloved and versatile mad scientist, Dr. Analog (and his teenaged assistants, Brandy and Dave) fight crime and make astonishing breakthroughs every month in the Doc's own book.
The Phenomenal Professor Neutrino
Brilliant. Tenured. Radioactive. Irradiated and loving it, Prof. Neutrino teaches physics at Futura University, rights wrongs, and balances a healthy social life with his body's unfortunate tendency to emit lethal levels of gamma radiation if not kept in a high-tech containment suit.
VORSICHT!
When high school student Jenny Grant dons an atomic-powered suit of battle armor that was originally built as a last-ditch Nazi superweapon in the closing days of World War II, she becomes the indestructible VORSICHT! - if she can remember to think in German (a language of which she has a somewhat uncertain command) as the suit's neural control system requires.
Aquatic Adventure Comics with the Sub-Human
Follow the monthly adventures of Steel Shark, the Sub-Human, and his trusty great white shark Ozzy as they battle to protect the seven seas and overcome the unfortunate image problems that the whole "great white shark" thing automatically brings with it.
Zen Tales of the Wild West
Journey into the lawless days of the Bacon Comics Universe's past with the continuing adventures of Marshal John Crossfield, the Existential Cowboy, as he fights to keep the good people of Quandary, Arizona (circa 1870) safe from bandits, bank robbers, and the constant uncertainty of life on a non-deterministic frontier.
Bacon Pulp Classics
This imprint contain fast-paced, two-fisted action books set on a hyper-stylized Earth of an indeterminate time that could be the 1930s, could be the 2150s, or could be right now, depending on which way you tilt your head. Most of the characters featured in the BPC lineup have also appeared in motion pictures produced by Kanzaki Pictures of Ishiyama.
Legend of the Crimson Lizard
Sumire Kanzaki's most beloved film creation (though the character was originally invented by Ishiyaman novelist Koji Aho), the sexy, sophisticated international thief and antiheroine called the Crimson Lizard has headlined in more than a dozen movies and has a huge cult following. A comic series was more or less inevitable.
New Century Zatōichi
The blind swordswoman (as played on the big screen by Kaitlyn Hutchins) is nearly as popular in the Ishiyama action-flick scene as the Crimson Lizard herself. Ichi's adventures in print actually outsell the Lady in Red's slightly.
Indiana Jones vs. the Saucer Men
Two-fisted action archaeologist Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr. and his fearless assistant Sallah face off against invaders from Mars in the current Indy miniseries. (There's always an Indy miniseries running, so it's basically a regular monthly book, but they change the title and restart the issue numbers for each story arc.)
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai
Renaissance man (and occasional semi-reluctant Crimson Lizard love interest) Banzai and his crew of loyal retainers do battle with the World Crime League and other global threats. (They're also prominent supporting characters in Indiana Jones vs. the Saucer Men.)
Real Life Heroes
These books are set in a slightly fictionalized version of the modern world and tell stories, as the tagline goes, "from the files of the IPO, 3WA, and other organizations around the galaxy."
Tales of the Lensmen
RLH's flagship title, Tales of the Lensmen primarily chronicles the adventures of agents of IPO Special Assignment 1, also known as the Experts of Justice, but it has also been known to feature unaffiliated or "Grey" Lensmen and Lensmen who belong to other IPO divisions.
Tuncer & the Repo Men
Formerly Tuncer: The Last Elite, until a) the Repo Men took on greater prominence as supporting cast members and b) it became apparent that Tuncer, er, isn't the last Elite.
Lensmen Two-in-One
The RLH equivalent to Bacon Comics Team-Up, Lensman Two-in-One spotlights a different Lensman teaming up to solve a case each month. Sometimes the other member of the team is also a Lensman, sometimes it's someone else.
Special Assignment
Anthology title presenting adventures of agents belonging to other IPO Special Assignment groups, such as Special Assignment 7 (Chief's Discretion), Special Assignment 2 (IPO Jedi Knights), and AEGIS. Contains frequent Slaarti the Hutt story arcs.
Gryphon's Furies: Special Assignment 11
Spitfire, Domino, Raven, 99, and the rest of the galaxy's most lethal lovelies feature (usually not all at once) in this title, which tells tales of the IPO Chief's Special Assistants. Oddly, the Chief himself doesn't appear often.
BPRD: Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense
The intrepid agents of the BPRD - Hellboy, Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman, Lise Fleming, Count von Orlock, and a variety of guest stars - face off against supernatural threats all over the galaxy, from ghosts to Nazi sorcerers.
Hellbringer & the After-School Special Mission Force
One ex-assassin with monastic combat training. One teenage superhacker. One escaped experimental super-soldier. One self-described extremely minor demon. And Dracula's kid sister. High school will never be the same again.
3WA Casebook
As the title suggests, this series presents stories taken from the files of the Worlds Welfare Work Association. Different Trouble Consultant teams are depicted, including frequent "flashback" appearances by the Lovely Angels.
The Enterprise Files
This title chronicles the many adventures of the famous starship Enterprise and the bold crews who have served aboard her over the decades. Individual stories may be drawn from any period in the ship's history, from her days as part of the United Galactica Navy to her present-day service in the Wedge Defense Force. Issues often include a B-story featuring the original WDF Enterprise (NX-01).
Bacon Jr. Comics
This imprint features more "cartoony" comics with less mature, more comedy-oriented storylines aimed at younger readers. It was originally launched to provide comic tie-ins to some of BaconMedia's popular animated TV shows and has since taken on something of a life of its own.
The Lensmen Adventures
Essentially Tales of the Lensmen for kids, The Lensmen Adventures features more kid-friendly Lensman action.
Tuncer: The Covenant War
This is the comic-book tie-in to the animated TV show of the same name, which features Tuncer, the Master Chief, and other SPARTANs in strangely bloodless battles against the Covenant.
The All-New Thunder Force
The latest in a long line of Thunder Force shows, The All-New Thunder Force Hour continues the franchise's tradition of combining kid-friendly action with sly humor that will go right over the kids' heads and slay their parents. The comic tie-in is rendered in the same art style and with the same multi-layered approach.
Legionnaires
The print version of the hit Avalon 17 program, Legionnaires features the (usually hilarious) adventures of Special Squad SAS-779 of the GENOM 7th White Legion, with frequent guest appearances by Chet the Safety Trooper and Jedi Master Atin-Vae Springsteen.
