"unhelpful-but-amusing mental image of the day"

Man. This thing is turning out to be so involved and logistically complicated, I keep having a recurring mental image of Gene Kranz running it remotely with a team of engineers from a mission control room somewhere in Houston.

"Okay, guys, gimme a GO/NOGO for the processional. BOOSTER?"

"GO."

"FIDO?"

"We're GO, Flight."

"Guidance?"

"Guidance is GO."

etc.

Well, thank a certain godess for...Well, herself I guess. I'd imagine that she is probably doing most of the grunt work on this one, again.
Of course, with her handling the logistics, this is likely to be more spectacular than most rocket launches anyway

Heh. I have to agree, it just feels right. it'd make some sort of great comedy bit that Bell acutally had Like Gene and a team working behind the scenes helping her manage it all, not like she needs it...

only real quibble would be that the bit needed more weddingish names for the various subsections...

This is CORWIN'S wedding. I think we'd NEED Booster, Guidance, etc...

Probobly do have a point. Though I was wrong about one thing. This wouldnt be Beldandy's style. now if it were Corwin;s actual mom, that would be another story entirely!

Heh. No wonder Utena headed for the tall grass (snow-covered at that time of year, but hey) of New Avalon, and Corwin scrambled up that tree. I suspect Gryphon is mighty glad that as the father of the groom, he only has his traditional duty, showing up, to perform. Unless, that is, Belldandy has other ideas...

Actually, because of the slightly odd background circumstances and the way the shindig ended up being configured, G's primary function will be to act as the father of the bride, but that's okay. That involves only two additional tasks - walking 30 feet and paying for everything - and he can handle that. He can probably even do them at the same time!

Heck, with the amount he makes, he'll probably make what he spends back while walking that 10m...

...also, small place if it's only 10m.....

Why do I have the feeling that putting together the guest list is going to end up being one of the most diplomatically delicate tasks in this business?

It shouldn't be. After all, they should be all friends and family of Corwin and Utena. Besides, even if someone wanted to get a little unruly, there's the fact that they'd have to deal with some of the heaviest hitters in the UF-verse. Definitely not a wedding to be crashed (and if you do it had better be with the most harmless intentions).

I probably meant 30 yards, not 30 feet, but either way, that's only the distance from Point A to Point B. It provides no useful data one way or the other regarding the overall size of the venue.
