"Annotations: NXE 1:6"

[8] Rob Shannon later remarked that this title really should have been saved for Exodus 2:4; if he'd been within kicking distance, he'd have paid for that. [92] Well, come on, you didn't really think I'd kill her off, did you? [228] So many of the great screen romances start out this way, though at the time, I had no particular intention of these two being anything other than, eventually, rather snipey friends. Inasmuch as I had any such plans at all at the time, my suspicion was that DJ would end up with Rei (though obviously Larry had other ideas pretty much from the get-go). [231] Later to become DJ's favorite outfit of hers, for sentimental as well as obvious practical reasons. [448] Asuka misses the reference here for the simple reason that the reference is missing. I'm not sure why, but the trailing part of DJ's original line, "It looks like the bloody reverse Constructicons," has been omitted. [472] Well, no, not as such, but no one knows that yet. [521] Bobby Darin, 1960; English translation of a French song, "La Mer", by Charles Trenet. Later used as the title and tag music for an X-Files episode. [707] I can't help it, there's just something about the early Asuka-DJ dynamic that invites Han Solo references. [791] And Blues Brothers references, come to that. [1025] Or possibly both. |

Possibly silly question: was the point and mark terminology for the team roles a hidden reference to EMACS? -- John "They copied all they could follow, but they couldn't copy my mind, And I left 'em sweating and stealing a year and a half behind." |

>Now if only there was some easy way to go through these things without >counting line by line, because right now I'm stuck trying to remember >where each one of these things fits in There are plenty of text-reading tools that display line numbers. You don't think I'm counting these things by hand, do you? Sheesh, people. It wouldn't kill you to do a little research. When you have something around the house with a loose bolt, do you post on the bolt company's website wistfully remarking that it'd be easier if someone made some kind of tool for tightening bolts? :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. >(I sent Gryphon an earlier version of this months ago, but I guess >they didn't want to bother) Truss got a modified version of it working on a few of the early Symphony pieces, but then he got tied up with a bunch of other stuff (like, uh, planning his wedding). At this point the whole website needs an overhaul anyway (the code used for the backend of the server-side includes is so out of date that the site can't be moved to a newer server without rewriting it), and we know someone who can do it, but I haven't been arsed to coordinate the move yet. If and when that's done, I'll hopefully have a way to work new sets of annotations in directly without having to get one of our coders (of which I am not one) to do a lot of fiddly work. --G. -><- Benjamin D.
