"Grissom warning..."

Rereading "Outward Trajectory," it is said that Grissom had on at least five occasions said something to the effect of, "If I draw my weapon, it can only end badly."

OK, one was Geoff Depew, another was Clarissa Broadbank/Agent A. When were the other occasions?

IIRC he says it to the Butcher near the climax of "Manhunt." The other two times remain offscreen (again, IIRC).

Mind you, Jim Brass was nowhere near the area (and, for that matter, was probably in junior high school at the time), so that would hardly count as one of the five times in his career Chief Inspector Brass has heard Grissom say it - which is what the passage in Outward Trajectory actually says. Personally, I suspect Grissom has said some variant on that phrase dozens of times over the long arc of his career.
