"Minbari War?"
|
I was wondering while reading Hunted Rose, was there ever a Minbari War? And if so, who was it against? Michael The Lovely Angels: When it absolutely, positively has to be destroyed overnight! Michael C. Fortner "Maxim 37: There is no such thing as "overkill". There is only "open fire" and "I need to reload". |

It was all a big misunderstanding, though I suspect they still haven't quite forgiven Derek. --G. -><- Benjamin D. >Derek? I figured it would have been Aya. So what did he do to them? But Aya was never in the WDF... But seriously, this is the Minbari. They're about as much fun as a ST:TOS Vulcan at a wake. I'm sure Derek did something that embarassed them...and they're still stuffy about it. Maybe he wrote a book. t. I have a feeling that the phrase "Gunports Open" does NOT figure into this fiasco, a Wedge Defender would be alot smarter than that, (First Rule of First Contact: Do NOT fire unless fired upon). Did the WDF have similar problems against Minbari Stealth Tech, if you do not mind my asking? Brad, Who to this day wonders what Earthdome was thinking when they put Captian Triggerhappy in charge of a potential First Contact Situation.

>>Did the WDF have similar problems against Minbari Stealth Tech, if you >>do not mind my asking? > >The Minbari have stealth technology? I hadn't noticed. It was referred to several times during the series, and in the movie In the Beginning, but I don't recall any specifics being given. The B5W game explains it as a jamming device that prevents enemy targeting systems from getting a weapons lock. Not that this necessarily has any bearing on UF, of course... Eric J. No need to narrow your potential audience by specifying an opponent. And it would, out of necessity, be a very quick read. :) --truss.

>That book, if it existed, would simply be called So You've >Accidentally Started a War. No need to narrow your potential >audience by specifying an opponent. Many of Derek's books, especially in the So You series, are based on personal experience and, as such, are rich in first-hand anecdotal advice. So You've Accidentally Started a War is certainly no exception, though it isn't quite as experience-heavy as, say, So You're Marked for Death: A Guide to Surviving a Vendetta or So There's a Hole in Your Mind: How to Recognize, Reverse, and Defend Against Telepathic Memory Tampering. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D.
