Gryphon's gone out of his way to explain the problems in his personal life right now, more than we ever had a right to know, and, well, I'm about the same age he is. So I'm well aware I don't have the kind of time I once did, and I have a solid paying government contractor job, relatively few health problems, and no kids or pets. I can't imagine the struggles he's going through.

He deserves support, not anger, and that's without even factoring in the sheer amount of time and effort it takes to write on the scale he does. Writing for UF is not a simple task. It takes a LOT of free time, effort, and skill, and that's time he could have been writing something that'd earn him a paycheck. And none of us can control the creative muse--it strikes when it strikes and no sooner.

Believe me, there's a -lot- of UF I'd love to see more of, and not just the stories he already has in motion. But I ask that we all be patient and respectful. Remember the sacrifices he's made to bring this to us, and go back and read old stories if you're so inclined. There's some gems in Mini-Stories and Annotations it's easy to forget about sometimes.

As can be seen, we've had our highs and lows, so this sort of break isn't unexpected. Note that this chart doesn't include many of the mini-stories as they're released, but rolls them into their Omnibus forms, so some things might be a little skewed.
