"Bit of help, please (User Intelligence Low: Retry/Abort)"

So, I realize this is a problem on my side (because it happens in another forum I go to), but does anyone know anything about it:

When I click the 'log me in again when I return' box when logging in, it immediately returns me to the generic foyer screen, not logged in. And if I don't, it logs me in fine for one session. The other forum, which has a cookie for automatic log-in, also doesn't automatically log in.

But I've got 'accept all cookies, damn you!' highlighted, and, since I wasn't sure where the problem was, set the internet permissions to 'flood me with nastyness, please' (that's 'low', BTW).

The platform is (ugh) XP and the browser is IE6. It's really getting irritating: anyone have any clues?

Are you going in from www.eyrie.net, or www.eyrie-productions.com?
If you are use www.eyrie.net, its failing 'cause the cookie is attached to
www.e-p.com...

I can't take credit for it.
I had a similar problem, and discussed it with zoner on IRC. This was the solution that he came up with. Apparently Ben has been thinking about not renewing .net...which will break *several* scripts and bioware presets...

Uh... there's no "apparently" about it. We've been telling people that eyrie.net is going away when it lapses (October 28, 2002 plus however long it takes NetSol to shut it off) since the day the eyrie-productions.com domain was put into use... in August of 1998.

If four years' notice isn't enough for anyone... well, that's their concern, not ours. Sorry.
