>"Jinto Linn"? Acting that...er, uptight? If he is an original >creation, I won't mind. If, however, he is based off/a transplanted >version of the esteemed Linn Ssynec Rocr Iarlucec Dreuc Haider >Ghintec, then I really can't picture it.Great Caesar's Ghost, I hope not. I can't even say that. He does look a bit like the kid from Crest of the Stars, though. You're kidding, you've never heard the "Read The Fine Manual" polite-company version of RTFM? (Or, in a similar vein, the sanitized military shorthands "Situation Normal, All Fouled Up", "Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition", or "Big Ugly Fat Fellow"?) In all cases, the benign 'f' word is a placeholder for one form or another of a much less benign one which is popular in military and technical-support circles. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. >This one now regrets the question - not going to waste badly rationed >mental energy on asking for a translation of the translation. FNG--Fine New Guy WPI has a tradition about the FNG. When one plays a game for the first time, s/he is designated the FNG. It is now the solemn duty of all other players to gang up on the FNG and be sure that they lose as quickly and completely as possible. This prevents "beginner's luck"; it also tests the FNG's sense of humor. --rR

Ah, yes, the double-edged question. First it's "Do we really wanna know?" And then it's "I didn't want to know that." ............. ............. For me, it's: "I don't want to know." ---------- Jeffrey McIntyre Still waiting for an update to GNDN... |

Dad's the debonair CO of WDF-1701? Yep... Kirk, Admiral James T., Wedge Defense Force Tactical Fleet. He met his spousal overunit (as JMS once put it) back when he had first switched from Starfleet to the WDF, when he was still a captain. She was a captain too, commanding one of the Salusian ships that joined us for the party with GENOM at Zeta Cygni. They got in each other's way a lot, traded a number of very stiffly, formally hostile communiqués, met face to face to duke it out after the battle... ... and now they're married and have three kids. Funny how these things work sometimes, isn't it? :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. Hutchins, Co-Founder, Editor in Chief, Netadmin Eyrie Productions, Unlimited http://www.eyrie-productions.com/
