Spy sappin' mah amplifier! ------ Jon Helscher That thing you burned up isn't important to me. It's the fluid catalytic cracking unit. It made shoes for orphans. Nice job breaking it, hero. GLaDOS- Portal |

LAST EDITED ON Jun-24-09 AT 00:28 AM (EDT) >>featuring Baron Zoria & his Circle of Horns > >Broken, right here. This right here. Oh God. Hah! That's not the first time I've made that joke, but I think it might be the first time someone outside the studio has acknowledged picking up on it. :) Baron Zoria & his Circle of Horns are a brass section for hire in the 25th-century UF universe, similar to the real-world Tower of Power. They're rumored to be mystical jazzmen who channel the immortal power of the Lost Big Band of Oranbega. They've appeared on several Art of Noise tours and records (though not on-screen in a Symphony story, yet). For the technically curious, that joke had its origins in a typo in a City of Heroes mission briefing, by way of the band that did the Najica Blitz Tactics theme, the Diligent Circle of Ekoda. (That was the second Diligent Circle of Ekoda-based joke to make its way around the studio. The first was the notion of an early-1930s Soviet secret police jazz band, the Diligent Circle of Yagoda.) When they're playing with the Circle, the Art usually make it a point to open the show with the Team Fortress 2 theme, just to show off the different parts of the band (much as, when playing without them, they often open shows with the Batman Beyond theme). --G. -><- Benjamin D.
