"Gryphon's not gonna be happy.."
 
   Umm I hate to be a bearer of bad news but Toonami is going to be ditching
several of its shows.

Ok I can do without Gundam Wing.. I've seen em all. No biggie.
I thoroughly love Outlaw Star but all good things come to an end.

Alas to Gryph, Toonami is gonna lose Big "O" soon. :/
Stupid Toonami internal cartoons... Really hate it when they list certain
shows are going off the air!

I like these shows! I keep missing the darned 3rd episode of Big "O" and really want to see it.

So does anyone have ideas of what they're gonna show during the Toonami run?
I'm dying to finish the DBZ series. We finally got the Saiyaman (sp?) seires up at the suncoast video though I'm not gonna pay $30 a disc.

This won't upset Gryph - AFAIK he already has them all taped, and the DVDs are coming over the rest of the year.

Gah - only buy DVDs at retail if you really have the money to burn. You should be able to find a minimum of 20% of MSRP online - usually 30% or better if you look.

Zoner's got that on DVD anyway, and I prefer Jim with his freedom to curse intact. :)

'S OK. There are only 13 episodes of Big O, and when they finish up this run, they'll have shown them through twice. I've got it all on tape now; I'm just retaping the second run so I can have them in SP until the DVDs come out. I honestly wouldn't have expected them to keep it on much longer than this - maybe one more run through, but that would have been stretching it.

"Electric City", yeah, that's a good one. Unfortunately, you've missed the last showing of it on Toonami, unless they run Big O again at some later date. It'll be on the first DVD to come out, though.

Truss looked it up when they announced the change and told me, but I've forgotten most of it. ISTR it involved two episodes of Drag-on Brawl Z back to back in both the regular and Midnight Runs (if true, that would make the Midnight Run nothing but DBZ).

Which pretty much means that when Big O ends, I will have no further use for Toonami.

   I ran out of uses for Toonami when they stopped showing Voltron.
There's just something vaguely, hilariously obscene about the line:

"And I'll form the head!"

Maybe I'm just sick minded I dunno B-)

They should do a tie-in promo giving away CN-DBZ decorated spoons for people to place on their tongues during the inevitable seizures that will be induced by a full hour of DBZ. Gah. I just watched one episode on a lark and it still hurts.

Here's the part I miss. IIRC, everybody wants to trash Go's butt, then destroy the Earth. Okay. Advice for the next DBZ villian: if you can destroy the Earth, try that first! And start directly opposite from Go! You'll have the advantage; the heroes will be a little disoriented when they get out of bed and realize that there isn't a planet underneath it. Then you can strike.

Huh. I picked up the BGC2040 #3 dvd and noticed a trailer on the front of it for a baseball themed anime (the title escapes me, although I'm sure I'll be reminded within nanoseconds of posting, zippy as we all are :). You just might have something there.

The puck itself would have to be a sentient character. Then I'd buy into it, no questions asked.

It is more a character story by all accounts, with the main character being a female baseball pitcher.
