   I'm currently reading through SoS for the nth time and as always I catch new references and make connections that I didn't before. This particular connection is entirely coincidental, but it hit me hard. When discussing the history of Neo-tigers, the WDF LSD is mentioned: "Wedge Defense Force
Life Sciences Division (whose unofficial motto was "You should
because you can")." Having played a certain game since the last time I read SoS, I am suddenly worried about what else the LSD got up to.

   Yeah, I know it was just coincidence and Portal came way after you coined the LSD motto, I just felt it was interesting enough to share.

Well, credit where it's due, I didn't actually coin the LSD's motto; I just attached it to the LSD. "You should because you can!" is something my cheerful Swedish friend Heléne used to say a lot, whenever anyone mused about whether they should do something they were considering. We figured the UF version, who was one of the founding WDFers, probably caused, or at least contributed to, a number of the LSD's early, er, triumphs by making the same response. :)
