It's more of a comment on "I have no life" in general than lack of relationship. Hell, my last relationship did absolutely nothing to slow me down, nor did having a job. Both, together, probably would, though.

Here's another, since this thread seems to have no real topic anyway... I was driving to work a few weeks back and got caught behind a large panel truck. Like many trucks these days, it had clever little mottos painted on the back indicating that it was safe to pass on the left but not on the right -- in this case, "Better off" and "Dead". Between the two, scrawled in the inevitable dirt with a fingertip, was "I want my two dollars!"

Well, that's certainly more imaginative than "WASH ME".

My favorite piece of handmade vehicle-related graffiti, though, was in Worcester in December of 1992. Back then, it snowed in New England in the winter, and one weekend early in December it snowed a lot, like three or four feet. Parked cars disappeared entirely into the roadside drifts. Out in front of the house where I was living at the time, a neighbor's station wagon was one of the casualties. I was walking home from the supermarket on the corner the next morning and noticed that someone had carved "HELP ME" into the side of the snowbank, just below the only evidence that the car even existed, the very tip of the radio antenna poking up out of what was now the sidewalk level. I'm not sure why, but something about that just tickled me.

(That was the same winter storm in which I navigated cautiously around in my Camaro with a couple sacks of pool filter sand in the back, watching with amusement as college assholes in Jeeps got stuck.)

I'd just like to state for the record that the only times I got stuck in civilized areas was when I _intended_ to do so. Though I never drove a jeep.. a 1979 GMC Jimmy is _not_ a jeep.
