"Eva Rides Again"
 
   Netflix announced last night that "Spring 2019" (presumably that'd be northern hemisphere spring - or Australia's going to have to wait 'til October) they'll be streaming Evangelion, including the movies.

Which'll be nice for those of us who don't have a local copy handy and who accordingly haven't seen it for a while.

(Kind of a tossup to put this here or 'Source Material'?)

On a personal note, my first exposure to Eva was at the UMO anime club back in '01/'02 where they screened "Death and Rebirth" and "End of Eva" back to back. I am reasonably sure I lost some SAN.

It probably fits better here. Evangelion's use as a source in UF is fairly limited compared to the way NXE hollows it out and takes shelter from the snowstorm inside its carcass. :)

   Also the final movie in the movie reboot series is supposedly in production now, due in 2020. As long as no one goes insane while make it (not joking) maybe we will be able to head scratch and try to figure out what the hell is going on (which will undoubtedly be released as an off-hand comment in an art book, which IIRC explained some of the things for the first series.)

   Maybe it'll un-fuckify Rebuild 3 which took all of the good the previous to did and just shat all over it after a hefty dinner at Chipotle.

Rebuild 1 and 2 Misato: Shinji, you need to do what YOU think is right more.
Rebuild 3 Misato: Shinji you disgusting piece of shit, how DARE you do what you thought was right! If you even THINK of doing something we don't explcitly tell you to do and no more or less, I'll blw your fucking head off with the bomb collar!

And apparently nobody thought to tell Asuka that Shinji was *literally* not in control when her plug was crushed. It's only been more than a *decade*. They probably just didn't have the time.

(Rebuild 3 makes me so angry)
