"Dorm, Dorm, on the Range...."

LAST EDITED ON Dec-11-01 AT 05:17 AM (EST)

Where the Duelists and Dragons do play...

Well, Once again we have more symphony to read. And once again, we can either have one MONSTROSLY LOOOOOOOOONG topic or a large number of shorter ones. And since popular opinion is that shorter is better.... well..

But I digress.

Quite a lot of what I wanted to say has been said, but there are still some things I wanna add...

Darn you Gryph!!! I was waiting the whole rest of the movement hoping to find out what Derek's new command was only to find out that your saving that up for next episode. On the other hand, I loved the running gag of Derek introducing Gryph around only to find it was surpufulous.

Mac rather reminds me of me in the mornings.... the only difference being I don't drink my coffee quite as strong as he does.

OK, so its fairly official that Amanda and Dev are for the most part out of the picture, even though they will be poping in from time to time. Wouldnt make sense for Amanda not to stop by since she's just down the block, cosmicly speaking. All this Does, however, in my mind bring up a left field thought. Dev is STILL a Telepath, and still an Earth citizen. The only difference now is that sooner or later he'll be considered Trained. Unless something happened off screen that I'm not aware of, he's going to have to be very carefull to avoid the corps, who will still have the same basic choice for him: Join or chemical lobotomy. Granted, eventually marrying Amanda will fix most of that, but Somehow I doubt that Psi Corps would let a little thing like being married to a head of state get in their way. At least not until they've been on the recieving end of a planet bomb or two.

I have to admit that for me the absolute Fav scene was tied, between B'lanna giving him the tool he needed instead of the tool he asked for, and the one where O'Brien looks at her like 'Dont you realize you've found the very place you just described???'

I was slightly surprised that Mia beat everyone else to the drop on the Challenge... but not that she won. I was worried for a while about her use of magic at first, fearing ridge-head would cry foul, but the way it worked out in the end was perfect. Yes, the bat'leth was shattered by the magic, but she only used THAT after the duel was over and ridge head's hide was forfit by not realizing it and continuing to attack.

All in all, it only leaves a few non duelists un-accounted for... rather, in specific, Lisa B. Hope she makes it back in time for the next semester.

Oh, and that reminds me. We know the Castle is the Duelists Dorm/Hq/whatever else... but what about the non-IDF members who've become associated with them over the past year? Folks like Mac and Dot and G'kon? Will they be staying with the rest at the castle, or what?

That sort of thing is left up to the club president, though of course the final living arrangements have to be approved by the Dean of Student Life. G'Kron and Mac will probably be living in one of the regular res halls, as, one imagines, will Moose; they didn't all live together before, so why start now? Azalynn and Dorothy will move into the Castle, though, as will B'Elanna. (Poor Azalynn; she's lost her roommate. Now she'll have to draft - er, find - another... )

I wish G had given us Derek's new command and waited on letting us know Amanda was going to be the new Gamilon B5 rep.
Why?
Because, as soon as Amanda mentioned she had that surprise for everyone, I -CALLED- it, right then and there. Satisfying as it was to know I was right, t'would have been even more so if I coulda conned Laudre into putting $5 on it ^_^ Or, at the very least, I woulda been able to provide proof that I had, for once, been in step with the eminently unpredictable EPU. Doubt that happens again.
Yeah, yeah. There have been times when something has turned out like I -HOPED- it would, but this is the first time it turned out like I -knew- it would. B-)
