"More thoughts on SOS2:2M..."

(Put in a separate thread to prevent overcrowding :) WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!! This was one hell of a trip, but boy was it good! Gryph and Co., yet another masterpiece! Thoughts in no particular order: Clarissa's taking over for the "old" Liza... perhaps there's hope for her yet - after all, I can't see her winning, and if she loses she may just break too... OTOH, this is gonna be big trouble in the short run, once she gets over the fact that Liza's still around. People like that only hide until they explode... I knew Vigdis was going to be trouble, but I never epxected her to be this much - in taking up with Clarissa she's opening up a whole new avenue of attack. Not intentionally, but her telling Clarissa about the Corwin/Utena thing has some major potential ramifications... I just hope that Corwin realizes that he needs some outside help here and tells Skuld what's going on before it gets even worse... The three norns at DSM... what a trip! I actually can see Urd as being a decent advisor - she's settled down a lot since the early days oif Keiici and Bell, and I think she really can be a good counselor if needed. And it's not like she has trouble listening to peoples romantic troubles... :) Bell as a professor actually surprised me more than Bell as a rocker - while I never figured her as the black leather and guitar type, she alwasy struck me as too sweet and sedate to be a professor. Maybe that's because I never had a sedate history professor... Skuld teaching applied science... good thing the WDF CoE is mobile - while I doubt any of her experiments will damage the labs, who knows what the students will try when she's gone... And remember, napalm sticks to kids :) And last but definitely no least, Liza. WOW. I love what she's become - confident, friendly, likable, and most of all human. She's reclaimed her soul, found herself, and taken control of her life. And despite all the hardship and uncertainty along the way, she didn't try to go back and recover what she used to have. And the rest of the gang has embraced the new Liza just like I expected them to - and not :) The relationship with Azalynn took me completely by surprise - I actually was kinda thinking that Mac and Liza might hook up, but I guess not (yet at least :) I don't know what you have planned, and I don't feel as strongly as I did about the golden city trip, but I would like to see a side story covering Liza's adventure in a bit more detail - if the muse strikes you :) That part about stealing the prize gem sounds wuite fun... It does, but as you say, it'll be Gryph's muse that decides the matter. (That, and whether Eric wants us to... F'thaka is, after all, his character, not ours. :) --truss.

> The relationship with Azalynn took me completely by >surprise - I actually was kinda thinking that Mac and Liza might hook >up, but I guess not (yet at least :) Well, ever since Liza got back, Mac's been all tongue-tied and effectively mute every time they meet (which isn't often). He'll find a way around that to apologize to her at some point in the next two movements. (He hopes.) Of course, Mac isn't the hook-up kind, for the simple reason that he's never learned -how-. That'll also be explained in detail down the road- the reasons -why- Mac is so socially introverted most of the time. Redneck White Lightning Productions - don't tell the Pope |

Ask Azalynn about it sometime! :) > Yeah, well... at least she was pleasantly surprised :) Now you have me wondering what would have happened if Liza had done that before Azalyn went home...Offsides #include <fireworks.h> #91;...#93; in order to be a realist you must believe in miracles. -- David Ben Gurion EPU RCW #pi; #include <stdsig.h> |

OTOH, this is gonna be big trouble in the short >run, once she gets over the fact that Liza's still around. People >like that only hide until they explode... Some families are like that. I find it interesting that the Broadbanks deliberately had kids for the sole purpose of making the whole Hutchins/Bikowicz/Whathaveyou crowd miserable. That's certainly not a healthy family. >And last but definitely no least, Liza. WOW. Not that I blame her. It gives quite the symbolism to what happened to her. >Well, didn't we cover what happens to those who repress? Apparently, they run off with aliens and return as ultra-cool space pirates who immediately proceed to Get The Girl. Kinda makes you wonder what you've been missing, doesn't it? ;) Ard Sumhenner Ronin Research, Sacramento, CA

>Note to self: Run off with aliens. ^_^ Personally, I fully intend to try hijacking any alien spaceship that shows up. If nothing else, it'd by a stylish way to get to work. -Khirsah- -Who thinks the aliens would have better sense than to come near him, anyway- |

Welp, there's really nothing that I can say that hasn't already been said (Spear and magic HEL-met! Halloween broke me good about the time Juri showed, and I stayed broke until after the trickertreating) EXCEPT!
Things became very operatic in the Babylon 5 Command Center for a few minutes, while Susan Ivanova sat at her station, buried her face in her hands, and looked very much like she might be thinking about crying. Behind her, a smiling Kira Nerys put a sympathetic hand on her shoulder and said nothing.
Ummm... okay Talia and Susan and Nerys and oy vey gevalt does that mean what I think it does? And, do THEY know that yet? Blessed be. Nathan Baxter (Jer the Barbarian needs a magic HEL-met!) ----- Iä! Iä! Moe fthagn! |
