As for gameplay, the level cap is going up to 60, and they are releasing new Tier 6 ships, and a new type of bridge officer, both of which they have not said anything more on. Also, the gear level cap is now at mark 14 instead of the current 12. The news about the ships spawned the expected rage threads about shps being outdated and we payed real money, etc etc etc. The only news on this has been the announcement saying that Tier 5 ships can be upgraded to be competitive, and it will not be through the crafting system. Also, during the current Jem Hadar attack ship promo, there was a note saying that the attack ship would be upgraded to tier 6 status. Make of that what you will. And finally there will be new story missions for the leveling up to 60 and new places to visit, but no exploration system or random content as far as anyone know.

Oh, and for anyone who liked Voyager (the ship) there will apparently be a new interior pack you can get (like the existing TOS and Defiant ones) for Voyager. No real details on this other than it will also be a mission map for in game, so apparently at some point, we have to go visit Voyager.

Personally, I'm at about 50/50 on the expansion itself. It will be nice to have new stuff to do in game which isn't queues, though I am sure more of those are coming as well. Another rep system will probably also be coming based on pass examples. As for the ships, well, depends on how painful the upgrade process is. Honestly I don't do much in game, so if the new content is the only place where the difficulty level is upgraded, I'll probably just get a few of the tier 6 ships and be done with it. But if they make it so that all the current end game stuff go to the level 60 difficulty, well, that would be more of a pain.
